TayNew
Tay scrolled through his phone in the late of night. He went through so much these days but the most thing that made him bothered was, the one and only, New. He wanted to know how was New, but couldn't contact him for asking. Yes, they went through some arguments a few days ago.
From what Tay saw, the fans strated to notice the distance that they kept to each other. They started to worry. Like hell! Even Tay was worried. He was not getting used to this. Stayed out of New's way for a quite long time. By that thought, Tay sighed and laid face up on his bed. "Should I call him?" Tay let out his own thoughts. "Is he asleep already?" Tay grabbed his phone and search for contacts. He stared long at New's name on his phone. One of his finger was an inch away from calling New but then he hesitated. "No, he's probably asleep."
Tay shifted to his right and hugged his pillow. He was about to close his eyes when he felt his phone vibrated before the sound came to his ears. He picked it up, too fast to say that it was normal. "Hello?" his voice was filled with anticipation.
"Tay...," New's sound from the other side of the phone was heard.
Tay let out a relieved sigh, it was too abvious that he held his breath a moment ago. "is something wrong New?"
There was an unusual silence before New said, "P' Tay...,"
Before New could continue, Tay stopped the other guy, "you're at your house? I'll be there in a minute. Wait for me." Then he ended the call and grabbed his car key. Rushed to the elevator and pushed its button rashly. He shifted here and there, couldn't stop moving.
He knew something was wrong. Or at least New wanted to talk about some important things. How could he know that? Simple. Just by the way New called him explained everything. He wasn't usually called him P'. he always called Tay by his name. but during the phone call New called Tay with P'. That thing made tay felt uneasy.
A ding sound startled Tay. Woke him up from his own thoughts. He entered the lift and just by a split seconds he was ready to drive with high speed to New's house.
New heard his house bell rang. He hurriedly opened the door for Tay. As Tay told him to wait, he sat on his couch for a few minutes to think about what he would say to Tay later. Before he could prepare himself, Tay arrived.
"You're fast, Tay." New greeted him with a smile.
Tay entered New's house and stepped out of his shoes. Tay felt uneasy. They were in an argument a few days ago. But there was New, smiling to him. He couldn't stop the thought. Does he forvgive me already?
Tay and New sat on the couch. Both not knowing how to started the conversation. Moreover a long time not seeing nor talking to each other.
Finally Tay couldn't stand it. The silence made him felt uneasy. So he said, "the fans are worried, New."
New looked at Tay. "Why?"
"They noticed. They know there is something happening to us. They worried that we have ruined our friendship. I don't know how, but they noticed it."
"But Tay, that's what I'm going to do. What I'm doing now."
"what?"
"I'm ruining our friendship."
Tay looked at New. Couldn't believe what he just heard. "No." that one word just slipped out of Tay's mouth. "Don't do this to me." Tay said pleadingly. "I know I did wrong. But please. At least don't leave me without anything. Not the friendship. Please." Tay's face showed a lot of emotion that New couldn't state one by one. But he knew that he didn't like any of that emotion on Tay's face.
"Tay, you did nothing wrong." New sat closer to Tay, held his hand encouragingly. "Tay, falling for someone is not wrong. We can't help that kind of feeling. That's normal."
Tay couldn't say anything. He just looked at New's eyes deeply. Not really knowing where this conversation headed to. All he knew was that he was afraid of loosing New. His best friend that he loved dearly. More than anyone in this world. He just realized it not so long ago. And he confesed. That was their last argument about. He made a mistake. And Tay couldn't do anything to undo that. So he just stared at New. Remembering every inch of his face so he wouldn't forget. As if it would be the last time they will be this close to each other.
"Tay. I said I wanted to ruin the friendship not because I don't want to be near you." New smiled. "I..., want something closer than friendship."
Tay still stared at New face when he felt their distanced getting smaller. Then he felt it, the peck that made his eyes widened and blood rushed faster through his whole body. Did new just kissed me?
"Tay, I think we have the same feeling." Their holding hand still stayed there. "I'm so sorry. I was late. I've always shoved my own feelings all this time. I thought it was just because I feel save and comfortable when you're near me. But these few days without you is like a torture. I can't stand it anymore. I decided to say it through a phone call because I didn't have the guts to tell this to you directly. But I'm—"
New couldn't finish his sentence when he was cut by Tay. Tay just stole a kiss from him. Silenced him through his gentle touch. "Stop explaining. I understand." Tay smiled then hugged New. "Thank you. Thank you so much."
New just smiled and hugged Tay back.

Tay was doing his lunch live. And he thought that this was the right moment to call New so the fans could know that they were in a good term already. So he did.
The fans was relieved. They seemed close like usual. Through the video call the fans could tell that they were happy and didn't really hide anything.
Little did they knew, that they actually hide a big thing with them.
