Time Waits For No One - Chapter 7;

Chapter 7;

Walking into her front door Nikole threw her keys on the table and headed towards her room, taking off her suit jacket she signed into MSN on the computer and turned on the news as well. “In the news today many say they may have seen footage of the King Of Pop. Rumor says that the legendary pop icon has been unseen for as many as 3 years. Where could Michael Jackson be hiding? And why?” Just as the reporter was announcing this information Nikole was gettinginstant message one after another, “Nikki are you there? I need you” the messages read from her mystery. Her eyes widened as she looked at the television then at the computer. “Okay? I am here Mystery what’s wrong I’m right here” she assured him she was there for him through thick and thin. “Yes what’s wrong?” She typed again. “I need you now! I can not wait any longer I can not hide from you anymore” he replied back to her, suddenly there was a knock at her door, she jumped up to get it, it was Janet, Michael’s sister, the two had planned to cook together and exchange recipes. “Hold on Mystery I’ll be right back” Nikole quickly replied as she ran to the door from the other side of the condo. “JanJan!!!” She cheered as she opened the door for her then turned off the news as they continued their tabloid cycle of news usually about Michael her good friend. As Janet and Nikole walked into the kitchen, Nikole offered Janet something to drink as they shared recipes and catch up with the latest gossip on each other. “So how have you been Nikki, honestly?” Janet asked concerned while she examined Nikole and took slow sips of the Moscato white wine Nikole poured for her. “I’ve been well Janet why do you ask?” Nikole said back to Janet while looking through the cabinetsfor the right pots and pans for the evenings feast. “Nikki, I know you miss my brother, trust me he misses you just as much if not more….” Janet recited as if rehearsed. “Janet why do you speak of Michael in the present?” Nikole began as she stopped looking for the pots and pans turning her attention to Janet. “He’s gone J, it hurts so bad, and yes of course I miss him, the way he looked at me, the way we would joke around, the way we could compliment each other, the way we flirted like we were 20 year old newly weds….the way he held me at night when he needed somewhere to go and wanted to just feel safe and loved….” She finished with a whisper looking down at her hands. “Nikki he’s not dead or anything, I don’t know where you may have gotten the illusion but Michael misses you very dearly!!! He really does, and I’m sure he misses those things about you as well honey bear,” Janet encouraged her. “My brother, was just so sick of the slander, hatred, injustice, selfishness, he couldn’t take it anymore so he left, to be under the radar, he left to be alone, to see the world from a new light, a light he never knew… But he is alive and he does love you very much Nikki” Janet said softly assuring Nikole that she was making the right choice with still being in love. Nikole got the food, plates, and spices out while her and Janet

continued their conversation about Nikole’s love for Michael. Michael

still sat on the other side of the screen waiting for her to come back

to the computer, glancing at the clock he noticed how early in the

morning it was in his small european town and nodded, “I’m so sorry my

dearest Nikki I must go” he said softly to himself as he turned off

the monitor to the computer and laid on the bed, cuddling up with the

white pillow beside him he held it like he was laying with Nikole,

spooning with the pillow he quickly fell asleep as he dreamt of the
