Chapter 4: Love and Destruction

3rd POV

Metal and Spinel were heading to the boardwalk to have some "fun" as Spinel put it. He took out his scouter and checked the time. '12:00 huh, looks like we can stay here for a couple hours before heading out for supplies,' Metal thought. It had been centuries since Metal went and played games that didn't involve destroying something, but he wanted to make Spinel happy, so he went along with it. "So, where do you wanna go first?" Spinel asked. Looking around for anything of interest, Metal's eyes were suddenly fixed on a roller coaster. "How about that," he said, pointing to the large structure.

Spinel looked over to where he was pointing and smiled. She grabbed Metal by the arm and dragged him over to the line where the roller coaster was at. While waiting, Metal realized something, "Uh, Spinel, you do have money, right?" he questioned her. "What's money," she asked innocently. Metal face palmed as he pulled out his scouter and wallet and turned some of his money into this world's currency. When they got to the front, Metal payed for the ride, and they both went to the very back.

When the ride started, Spinel was practically bouncing in her seat, while Metal on the other hand was slightly shaking. 'Get a grip, you destroy timelines for a living, you can handle a simple roller coaster,' Metal thought. "Hey, are you okay? You're shaking." Spinel questioned while she pointed to his arms. "Y-Yeah I'm fine, just cold that's all," he said while sweating. Spinel grabbed Metal's hand and held it tight, saying "It's okay to be afraid of something you know. You don't have to be fearless." Metal looked into her eyes and saw genuine concern and compassion in them, while he smiled and nodded his head.

When the ride was over, they were still holding hands even after they got off. Metal led Spinel to a nearby table and seated her, and said, "I'm going to get something to eat for us, since someone ate my breakfast." Spinel nervously laughed while blushing, as Metal left to find a food stand. She closed her eyes and started to think, 'He's such a nice guy, and extremely loyal. Why would anyone want to betray him?' When she opened them, she saw someone was sitting across from her, staring at her. "Uh, can I help you with something," she asked, confused. "Oh, sorry about staring at you. My name is Kevin. I was just wondering what someone as beautiful as you are doing here," he answered.

"I'm just waiting for a friend, who should be back here any minute," she responded, trying to get him to leave. "Forget about your friend, all you need is me," he said with sternness in his voice. Kevin attempted to grab Spinel, but she quickly ran to where Metal was. "Metal!" she screamed when she was nearing him, but was tackled by Kevin. "No one can help you! You're mine now." he laughed. Unknown to him, Metal was standing right behind him with murder in his eyes. He grabbed Kevin by the shirt and stared right into his eyes, "If you ever come near me or her ever again, then you will be erased from existence itself! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!" he questioned in rage. Kevin shook his head yes as Metal threw him into a nearby building.

He looked at Spinel who looked at him in awe and surprise. "Are you alright? He didn't hurt you, did he?" "Y-Yeah I'm alright. Hey, why is your hair blond now?" she questioned. Metal looked at a puddle and sure enough, his hair and eyebrows have turned blond, and his eyes changed to turquoise. "Well, you remember when I mentioned that Frieza was scared of the legendary Super Saiyan, right?" he asked and Spinel nodded, "well, this is the form of a Super Saiyan, but it's not much of a legend any more, since any Saiyan can do it if they have enough anger and determination."

Spinel was shocked to say the least. Her friend had that much power that he was hiding? "Anyway," said Metal "I think that's enough for today. I still need to get more supplies for myself. Let's go." With that Spinel and Metal went to some stores and got everything on Metal's list. Metal teleported him and Spinel to his house and they put away the groceries, along with transforming the house back into a capsule. "Now that that's done, I suppose it's time to apologize to your friends," stated Metal. He then teleported himself and Spinel outside of the temple where the Crystal Gems live.

Metal slowly walked up the stairs and knocked on the door. To his surprise, nobody was home. As he was walking away, he was suddenly grabbed by chains! "What the-" he questioned when he was held in the air by Lapis. "I've got him," she said as Steven, Connie, Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst, Bismuth, Peridot, Jasper, and the Diamonds came into view. "Look, I'm not here to fight, I came here to apologi-" "Shut up! How dare you attack me and my friends. For that, you must die," said Steven in anger. Metal raises an eyebrow, "My my, this is certainly new. Steven Universe of all people wants me dead. Here I thought we could be civilized and talk things out, but I see that all you want is my death on your hands." Metal replied in an eerily calm voice.

"Hey! All of you cut it out! He's trying to apologize." Spinel pleaded. "Oh? And where were you. Hanging out with your new friend? Well, if you like him so much, you can die with him." Steven said darkly as Pearl stabbed through her form. Her form dissipated and her gem fell to the ground. Filled with anger and sadness, Metal screamed in rage and transformed into a Super Saiyan, obliterating the chains that once held him. "I'LL KILL YOU ALL!" he screamed, as he immediately shattered Pearl. He launched a Galick Beam Cannon at Yellow Diamond, shattering her as well. He summoned his scythe and slashed it at Steven, who was barely able to block it.

Realizing he's outnumbered, Metal quickly picked up Spinel's gem and flew into the air. "You know, I was actually considering living here, but I guess I can't if this planet's destroyed," Metal said while laughing manically. He raised his hand into the air and a giant ball of fiery ki started to form. "I hope you all have fun in the afterlife after witnessing my Supernova. Hmhmhmhmhm, ciao!" Metal said as he threw it at the Earth. He quickly summoned a dark portal and went through it, leaving that universe to it's demise.

"We may not have been able to find happiness alone, but maybe we can find it together." Metal said to Spinel's gem.
