I walked through the lounge doors with a smile on my face. I could not stop reliving the moment when Prince Easton kissed me. For my first kiss, I thought it was a little romantic.
"Why are you here? Aren't you leaving?" Farley ran over to me the moment she saw me.
"I was leaving, but I just couldn't go through with it."
"Well good. now I have a friend again. I was lonely without you."
"I am going to go change but I will be back soon." Farley hugged me one last time before I went back to my room.
It was weird without seeing August outside my door. I knocked before I opened my door. My maids were cleaning, just like they always were. When they saw me, their faces became ecstatic.
"We thought you were leaving," Justine said. I shook my head, placing my bag on my desk.
"We are glad you decided to stay," Amy said quietly. I asked them to change me into a simple dress for the rest of the day. I missed seeing August in front of my door all of the time.
I was glad I had stayed. I knew I was going to have issues with the King, but I didn't feel ready to leave. I never thought I would have wanted to stay here longer than I already have. I missed my family a lot, but I was starting to make friends here.
There was a knock on the door, and August was standing there.
"What happened to you leaving." He said sarcastically.
"I changed my mind."
"Good. I knew it was stupid of you to make a decision when you were frustrated." He walked into my room and sat down on my bed.
"What made you change your mind?" He asked.
"Prince Easton begged me to stay." I went down and sat next to August. I have not known August for that long, but it felt like I knew him well. I didn't know if that was a good or a bad thing. I enjoyed his presence.
I was the one who said we had to stay friends, and I didn't be the one to break it. I told August I was going to go back to the lounge for a bit. He walked me down there, and we continued to talk most of the way there.
I found Farley reading in the corner so I joined her. We sat next to each other silently reading each of our books. We were both interrupted by a loud voice.
"I thought we were friends!" I looked up and saw two girls going at it on the other side of the room. From where I was I couldn't tell if one of them was crying, or if her face was just red from screaming.
"What the hell Stacy. It's not that big of a deal." The other replied. Harper ran over to the girls and tried to break them up. They both started yelling while Harper was in the middle of them. Then, the other girl slapped Stacy across the face.
The room went quiet for a minute before Harper dragged both of the girls out of the lounge. I had never seen Harper look so angry before. Farley and I glanced at each other making sure we both saw the same thing.
"Do you want to go for a walk?" She asked me.
"I could use some fresh air," I said, putting my book back on the shelf.
"I guess the competition is getting harder for some people," Farley said as we walked through the gardens. I have been through the gardens so many times, but I still love looking at the variety of flowers there were.
"I guess."
"What convinced you to stay here?" She asked.
"Prince Easton wanted me to stay a little longer."
