The morning didn't seem to come soon enough. Quincy ensured that she had her phone on her all day and that the ringer was on. There was no way she was going to miss any phone calls or text messages that came her way. With anxiety levels at an all-time high, Quin made a Starbucks run to hopefully get breakfast and a white hot chocolate to ease her nerves.

As the blonde ate back at her apartment, she began to second-guess herself. Maybe she didn't do as well during the interview as she had initially thought. What if Matthias never called? What if this was her only shot at a job?

At that point, it was apparent that breakfast hadn't helped distract her. Time for Plan B: her TV. Quincy immediately flipped to NCIS.

"You had better provide some sort of relief," Quin mumbled to the screen across the room.

About five or six episodes into the show, a cellphone could be heard ringing next to the anxious blonde. She noticed that her heart rate had quickened. Quincy let her phone ring a couple of times before answering so she didn't seem as anxious as she actually was.

"Hello?" Quin answered after gaining composure. "This is Quincy Parker."

"Hi Quincy; it's Matthias from Hi5 Studios about the interview yesterday."

"And?"

"Looks like you'll have to start making some changes-" he paused, "because you're hired! I'd like to see you at nine o'clock tomorrow morning if that works for you."

"Wow, yeah. Nine tomorrow works. Wow, thank you so much!" she exclaimed, trying not to explode.

The moment Quincy hung up, she was unable to maintain her excitement, no matter how hard she tried. Her voice echoed in her apartment as she cheered, and jumped up and down in excitement. Part of her felt bad for the neighbors, but the thought got shoved to the back of her mind.

The blonde knew only one way to celebrate something this big. She'd continue a tradition she'd started with her brother when they were younger: dyeing their hair a spontaneous color. It, for them, was a symbol of starting anew. It was to celebrate a huge accomplishment.

"Hi, I'd like to make an appointment to get my hair dyed," Quincy smiled as she talked to the woman at the front desk of the hair salon she just arrived at.

She filled out the information sheets, looking around the salon as she did so. The place seemed pretty good quality, matching with the reviews she'd found online. After turning in the forms, only five minutes passed before Quincy was called back.

"So what are we thinking of doing today?" the stylist inquired.

"I was thinking and ombré, like from this blonde to purple?" she requested.

"Alright, I'll see what I can do."

A bit of time had passed, and the stylist spun Quin around in the chair to let her see her hair. Quincy gave a nod of approval and thanked the stylist. She knew she would have to send something to Dylan later. With her newly done purple tips, she paid and walked out to her jeep when her phone started ringing.

"Hey, Siege. What's up?" Quincy answered.

"I'm having some co-workers over tonight and wanted to know if you wanted to come too."

"But I don't know any of them!"

"That's the point. How else do you expect to make friends if you don't try? I promise it's nothing too crazy. What do you say?"

"Fine, I'll be over in a bit," she sighed.

She hung up, then realized she'd forgotten to tell CJ about the phone call; she would have to remember to tell him later. Quincy also realized that she'd have friends once she started work the following day- hopefully. But she had already told CJ that she'd show up, and it wasn't like she could hide in her apartment.
