A couple of weeks had passed, and everything was relatively normal. Quin opened up her laptop while on her lunch break before loading Youtube. The Hide-N-Seek video had been uploaded at the start of the week, and given that it was Friday, more videos had been posted since. She was slightly curious to see what the comments had to say.
The blonde selected the video, muted the volume, then scrolled down. Her eyes darted around the screen. It had been her first and only appearance on the channel aside from the times a camera caught her filming; Quincy also had minimal appearances in vlogs.
Viewers for the most part didn't have much to say about her presence, but then she found one who commented on her hair. Quin couldn't help but to smile as she looked at her purple ends. She enjoyed seeing how much Hi5 brightened peoples' day. Except her own apparently.
"Yo Quin," CJ said as he walked into the kitchen where she was eating.
She jumped in her seat, quickly switching her screen. Quincy looked at her friend and asked what he needed.
"Have you seen the comments on BU's videos this week? Viewers are wanting to know where you are and why you're not in any other videos!"
The blonde did her best to explain that she'd much rather help with the off-camera work and filming alongside him. Her presence was only a last-minute fill-in, and that's how she would like to keep it. The pair had a friendly bicker over the subject until something in Quincy snapped out of nowhere.
"Look. As much as I love seeing that I am missed in videos, I do a lot better using the camera. Not smiling for it. Okay?" she stated flatly with a bit of attitude evident.
Her co-worker put his hands up, surrendering. Quin felt a bit guilty for blowing up at him; CJ didn't do anything to deserve it. She hesitantly held out a fist in hopes that she would get a bump in return. Her hazel eyes looked at him, practically pleading.
"Sorry, I guess I'm just stressed. You didn't deserve that," the blonde sighed. "We still good?"
Siege smiled, returning the bump before disappearing around the corner. Letting out a sigh, Quincy shut her laptop and dropped it off at her desk. She desperately needed to let off some steam. Her skateboard that had been under her desk was pulled out; there was no way she'd allow herself to go off on another friend, let alone a co-worker. The blonde left the building and set down her board. Hopefully riding around the parking lot and building a couple of times would be enough to clear her head.
On her fourth go-around, a couple of sets of wheels could be heard coming up behind her. She did another kickflip before turning to see who it was- Cat and Woods.
"You have a skateboard? Since when and say anything to us? Let alone about the tricks?"
"To answer you Woodland, y'all never asked. I only ride it from base to base on occasion if I know I'll be gone a while," she shrugged.
"Have you gone to the skate park?" Catherine questioned.
"Nope."
"Come with one of these times when I take pictures for CJ," Woods commented as he stepped off his board in front of Blue Base.
The girls followed suit and walked back into their office. Quin made no promises but left the idea on the table.
"Hey Sam," she said upon seeing her other office buddy. "Do you want to hang out at my apartment tonight? I need an escape from reality."
"Of course! I can bring Bailey as well if that's alright with you."
The blonde smiled and nodded in approval. She just needed someone who she could have a genuine, heartfelt conversation with. Hopefully, that person was Samantha.

A knock sounded on Quincy's apartment door. She couldn't help but grin as the door swung open to reveal a familiar face and adorable dog. They sat down on the sofa in the living room, having a wholesome conversation as Bailey chewed on a toy.
"So not only did I want to hang out just because and need a break, but I also need advice from my friend Sam; not co-worker Sam."
"Oh sure. Anything."
"You see, ever since I was in that one Battle Universe video, CJ and a handful of others are trying to convince me to be in more shoots. But I'm not sure I'm ready; the extra attention and pressure have sort of pushed me over the edge, emotionally. You know? I just don't know what to do anymore," Quin ranted.
The two sat in silence for a minute while Samantha thought of how to respond. Bailey was laying on Quincy's lap, getting scratched behind the ear. Her friend finally answered, suggesting that she talk to Matt about it. Matt would be real with her and give her his honest opinion about the situation. However, the brunette's personal opinion was to give it another shot on camera.
"As a friend, no matter the situation, I would say to not try something once then call it quits. You've got to give it another go now that you have passed the initial shock," Sam further explained.
"I don't know, Sam; I'll think about it, but I am making no promises."
Quin flipped on the TV, hoping to find a movie to lighten the mood. She and Sam quickly agreed on watching Brother Bear, one of her favorite Disney movies. The movie began and Bailey leaped up onto the sofa between the two friends.
"Tell everybody I'm on my way. New friends and new places to see!" both of them sang with a smile on their faces as the music played.
The blonde throughout the film couldn't help but keep thinking about what the brunette had told her. It was like there was a tug-of-war happening between her emotions and her smarts. There was no telling which side would win. And it was beginning to stress Quin out.
She forced her attention to the television in front of her, pushing aside her internal battle. It wasn't the time to break down; now was the time to have fun with Samantha.
