Chapter Fifteen: Count to Three.

He was moving his mouth frantically but she couldn't hear anything come from it.

"Only five of us."

"Ten seconds then pull the trigger."

"One."

"Two."

"Three."

When the sound of a gun echoed in her ears she squeezed her eyes shut. A loud deafening ring was heard.

She only opened my eyes when the sound stopped.

But when her eyes were open she was walking again.

She noticed a presence behind her but didn't care.

She continued the mumbling and limping before she was stopped by two large and firm hands on her shoulder that turned her around with small force.

It was the boy again.

'What did he want?'

Her eyes went wide and she stepped back. She thought it was a boy that stood before her, but it wasn't. Or was it?

The body was blurring in al sorts of images in her mind.

But it was a boy.

He sighed in relief when the girl finally responded.

"Are you ok?" He asked her.

Jinx felt something come up her throat and she started gagging.

But it felt like nothing could come out.

The boy's eyes widened and he started talking to her to distract her.

"I'm Kevin Keller, I'm the son of the sheriff. I'll bring you with me."

This only seemed to make the situation worse.
She can't go to the police, they would put her back in jail.

She dropped her bag and her hands grasped her throat. She couldn't breath and everything that he was telling was making it worse.

"Ok ok. You've been missing for a while. Posters of you are hanging all over town. Let's get you to a safe place." He told her as her slung her bag over his shoulder and walked her to the nearest building.

In their case it was the school.

Jinx received weird stares because everyone knew her now. And she was mumbling the weird phrases that rushed through her mind.

Continually counting from one to three, repeating the same things.

When Kevin escorted her through the halls of Riverdale high Betty, Veronica and Archie came rushing to their place.

People were stuck frozen in their place when they saw the missing face that was printed on the papers that hung everywhere around Riverdale.

But there she was. Bare feet, stumbling, covered in blood sweat and dirt. Limping in Kevin's arms.

"Beating fast, in my chest."

"One two three."

"One left in the chamber."

"Just shoot already."

She whispered the phrases with her eyes locked to her feet.

Betty was calling Jughead to tell him that they found her.

At first he didn't answer.

"What wrong Betty, I'm with the Serpents." He whispered through the phone.

"Kevin found her, come to Riverdale High." She told him.

He hung up as soon as he could and left.
