It was a rainy night in the Devildom, the pitter-patter of the rain making contact with the roof of the house calmed you. Y/N got out of their comfy bed to go to the kitchen to grab a small snack. Satan was frantically searching for something all over the House of Lamentation. It was quite unusual to see him this unsettled. He walked into the kitchen, an expression of worry written on his face. 

"What's wrong, Satan?" Y/N asked with concern.

"It's my cat. I think I lost her." Satan said, his voice filled with a bit of panic.

"Wait, you have a cat?" Y/N asked, completely dumbfounded.

"Yes, although the others don't know about her." Satan replied.

Y/N paused for a moment, looking up into space. After a few seconds, they looked directly at Satan, their gaze meeting with his emerald green eyes.

"Well, why don't we look for it together?" Y/N asked with a kind smile.

Before Satan could answer the question, Y/N to his hand in theirs. Satan's face slightly reddened at this action. Satan quickly collected himself and released his gentle grip on Y/N's hand. Y/N's face now wore a slightly surprised but curious look. Satan placed his hand on his chin, deep in thought.

"Perhaps we should split up. The search would be faster and easier that way." Satan pointed out.

Y/N nodded their head in optimism. "Right!"

They both searched for the feline throughout the house for hours. They checked the library, the music room, the common room, Satan's bedroom, and many more areas. Y/N found Satan looking at the entrance of the house. He heard Y/N's footsteps behind him.

"Oh Y/N! There you are." Satan said as he turned to face them.

"Did you need me for something?" Y/N asked.

"It's pretty obvious that she's not here..." Satan started, staring into Y/N's expecting eyes. "So I think we should start investigating outside."

Y/N looked out of a window, the rain still falling from the sky. They suddenly got a burst of determination. If there was even a slight chance that the cat was outside, Y/N was determined to save it. 

"We shouldn't waste any time then. Let's go!" Y/N said with confidence.

Satan chuckled, his shoulders slightly moving up and down. He grabbed a clear umbrella and placed his hand on the door.

"Alright, let's get moving then." Satan said with an appreciative smile.

The two exited the building into the wet and cold outdoors. Satan quickly opened up the umbrella, inching closer to Y/N to save them from the icy rain. Their shoulders touched making Y/N's face heat up slightly. Y/N shook their head in an attempt to compose themselves as Satan was already starting to walk. They walked for a long time as an awkward silence lingered between the pair. Y/N opened their mouth to say something but was cut off by a faint yowl.

"Did you hear that?" Satan asked, stopping in his tracks.

"Yeah, it sounded like a yelp." Y/N responded.

They heard the sound again, the rain drowning it out. It was a bit louder this time.

Y/N's eyes widened. "Over here!" Y/N called out as they started to dash in the direction of the noise.
