Level Up (Levi x Reader)

"Aaahh..." Y/N put their palm in front of their mouth as they yawned.

Y/N tapped away on their favorite color-cased D.D.D, their mind focused on the glowing screen. Y/N was heading to their bedroom as there was nothing to do that day. As far as Y/N knew, everyone was busy, so they thought that they should stay sheltered in their little "home" until dinnertime.

Suddenly, Y/N's body came into contact with a hard figure and they soon fell back onto the floor.

"Ah! Y/N! Are you ok?" Y/N heard someone say.

Y/N looked up at the owner of the voice. It was none other than Leviathan.

"Oh, Levi. I thought you were out somewhere." Y/N pointed out as they got up from the floor.

"You know I never leave my room! Well, at least, almost never." Levi claimed.

Y/N smiled at his silliness. "Okay, I'll get going then..." Y/N said starting to leave.

"W-wait! Don't go!" Levi suddenly exclaimed.

Y/N's brow arched in confusion as they turned back around to face Leviathan.

"'You need something?" Y/N asked.

"I wanted to play a game with you." Levi said with a grin.

"A video game?" Y/N questioned, excitement rising in their voice.

"Of course!" Levi exclaimed matter-of-factly.

The Y/N smiled back at Levi's beam. "Come with me!" Levi said as they grabbed onto Y/N's wrist.

Levi practically skipped towards his room as he dragged Y/N along with him.

"Did anyone see you come in?" Levi asked.

"Nobody's home, remember?" Y/N reminded him.

"Oh, yeah! That's good! I can't be seen with a n-normie like you! B-but you're the only normie I like!" Levi, placing his hand over his face to cover his blushing face.

"Yeah, okay," Y/N said as they giggled. Levi's dorkiness always seemed adorable to them. "Soooo, where's the game?" Y/N asked.

"Oh! Let me get it!" Levi said as he frantically tried to search.

After a few minutes of looking around, he had finally found it.

"Here it is!" Levi declared as he held a flat, rectangular box in the air.

"What's it called?" Y/N asked as they began to sit.

"It's Mecha Magical Girls: Shining Armor!" Levi exclaimed.

"Oh? A new game? I can't wait to play it! What's it about?" Y/N asked with excitement.

"You really don't know? I thought you were a true otaku!" Levi huffed out. "Alright, I'll explain it to you." Levi started. "It's about these five magical girls who use technology and electronic weapons to kill the space invaders that came to their home! Aaand-"

"Okay, okay, I get it. Don't spoil it all!" Y/N interrupted, covering their ears with their palms.

Levi pouted in disappointment but the scowl on his face quickly turned to a beam as he directed his attention back to the game.

"I already played through the whole game so I could be the first to review it on Akuzon... But I think it would be better to play the fighting mode first so you can practice. Then, we should get right into the action!" Levi pointed out.

"Okay!" Y/N nodded in agreement.

Levi grabbed one of his game controllers as he pointed to one of the buttons and promptly sat down next to Y/N. "So the A button is the jump button, obviously." Levi started to explain.

Y/N sat closer to Levi so they could closely observe Levi's "lesson." Y/N's shoulder made contact with Levi's.

"Ahh! Too close!" Levi exclaimed, his cheeks flushed with pink.

"Sorry... I was just trying to look at the controls." Y/N said with a pout.

"I-it's fine. Whatever." Levi said, trying to regain his composure.

Levi proceeded to instruct Y/N on the game's mechanics which felt like hours to them. Finally, Y/N was able to get their hands on the blue-colored controller. Y/N clicked and pressed on the buttons once the round started.

"Against this character, you might want to be more on the defensive side than the offensive side since their attacks are more powerful." Leviathan helpfully pointed out.

"Noted." Y/N simply replied, their attention focused completely on the vibrant TV screen.

Though it was a close call, Y/N won the round in a few minutes with an ultimate move.

"Yay! I won!" Y/N victoriously exclaimed with a smile.

"Wow, you're pretty good," Levi said clearly impressed. "Let's make a bet."

"You sound like Mammon." Y/N responded with a teasing glower.

"I won't bet any money like that idiot, just hear me out." Levi pleaded with a mischievous smile.

Y/N nodded as they looked half expectantly, half in suspense, thinking about what Levi might wager.

"We'll verse each other in the local multiplayer mode and if I win, I get a kiss from you." Levi snickered.

"W-what?! Like I'd agree to something like that!" Y/N yelped, their heart pounding a bit faster than before.

"What if I offered you some snacks if you win?" Levi bargained.

"You're on!" Y/N confidently declared.

"Get ready, Y/N, I'm expecting my kiss right after this!" Levi declared with a gleam.

"And I'm expecting my snacks!" Y/N retorted with a bold smirk.

All that could be heard in the room were the mashing of plastic buttons as they both stared intently at the screen before them. Inevitably, Y/N won the match.

"What?! I've played this game longer than you have!" Levi sighed exasperatedly.

"I guess I'm just that good." Y/N chuckled smugly.

Levi sighed again as he started to sulk, looking down on his controller. Y/N slowly started to feel bad as Levi sat there with a disappointed expression, his chin in his palm.

"Levi!" Y/N suddenly called out.

Levi turned to look at Y/N but before he could say a word, Y/N leaned forward and gave a small peck on his cheek.

"Y-y-y/n!" Levi squeaked, his blush returning.

"Don't be sad, Levi. You'll get better if you just practice." Y/N reassured him, patting his head.

"I-i-i...thanks!" Levi stuttered, using his hands to hide his face.

Y/N smiled back at him. "Oh, and I still want my food." Y/N said with a simper.
