Pretty pictures I'm drawing here
Pretty pictures with pretty red paint
Right here on my white skin I carve
My blood is the paste

Isn't pretty my art?
Isn't simply divine?
Perhaps I should carve deeper?
I'm sure no one would mind

I have to wipe away my tears
Wipe them away before they shed
Because one drop of a tear on my vein
I am sure as good as dead

My paintbrush is silver
My paintbrush is sharp
My paintbrush is thin
See how it glimmers in the dark?

I have to make sure my canvas is perfect
Not one mistake can be made
Because once the paint dries
The scars will overtake
