Journal entry 1 : Adrian
I never thought of the day I would write a long story in my journal. Learning to write a journal from my sister, it wasn't easy to do what she does. She can write for long hours that she usually would lose track of time and I would always have to call her for dinner. And by calling, I don't mean just calling by yelling from downstairs in the kitchen. I had to go to her bedroom every time because whenever she writes, she would always have her earphones on which does annoy me from time to time.
I remember the time when I just couldn't take it anymore and just opened the door and took her earphones off of her. I asked with quite a stern voice that day. That was the first time I've ever been angry with my sister. I asked,"Why don't you just write without your earphones on?! What are you listening to that's so loud that you can't hear my callings every time?!" I remembered that surprised look on her face. It almost seemed as if she was actually, terrified of me. "I'm sorry..." she said as she looked down on her lap.
Then, I saw a dark spot on her trousers. It was small and just on her lap but I know for sure that it was a tear drop. I thought Did I make her cry?! I instantly went down on my knees and apologised as I pat on her back. Then, she looked up at me with eyes filled with tear drops. "It's not your fault, Adrian. I just can't seem to get a hold of myself when I found out about it." "About what?" I asked. She didn't reply but instead gave me the notebook she was writing on pointed to a specific date on the book.
"You want me to read this? Are you sure it's okay?" I was a bit hesitant since I always thought it was private. "Just read it." She said that feeling a bit fatigue. As I read through the page, I can almost imagine was she was seeing in her mind. She sees herself admitting the truth to her characters that she was not a hero at all and that her true self was weak and timid and that they are not real and won't give support of any kind to her. I couldn't believe that she would write something like this.
She is always happy when she imagines herself being a hero with them but now, this is a totally different side of her. I placed the book down. Thinking back, I don't know why I ended up asking her,"What do you want now?" instead of giving her advise not to give up. But somehow, she didn't mind at all and hugged me. It did took me by surprise but somehow, after that, she became her usual self again throughout the next few days.
Later, whenever she starts feeling down, I would usually approach her softly and let her do what she wants the most which are hugs and laying down on my lap as we sit by the balcony. As I'm writing this, now I realize what she actually needed. I never asked her why she always wants that more than advise or encouragement. Maybe I should ask her when I get back. Right now, I need to help these people.
Seeing how awfully injured all these people are and being imprisoned in this so-called Dark Dimension, I have to help. Plus, maybe if I help them. I might be able to get myself out of here and see my sister. I have to see if she's alright which got me thinking, will it be morning by the time I get back? I might as well ask Sebastian when I get the chance. I better...

The sound of knocking from his room broke his silent thought of writing. He hurriedly open the door and saw Sebastian, holding a weapon in his hand. A worned-out curved blade sword. "This is for you." Adrian was stunned. "Woah, cool sword. But why are you giving it to me?"
"It's to help with you're training."
"Wait, you mean, I have to fight? But can't we just settle with those people through discussions?" Adrian, feeling uneasy of the weapon at hand, ask. "These people are...very aggressive. They prefer to take things the hard way so, of course, we have no choice but to take matters into our own hands." Sebastian replied, feeling uneasy himself of the question. If he knew our real plan, we won't be able to proceed and he might turn against us. Sebastian thought and signalled Adrian to follow him.
"Have you guys tried negotiating?" Adrian asked him again but Sebastian can only ignore his troubling questions. "Please, Adrian. Follow me." He gestured, saying it more firmly than before. "Where are we going?" Having a curious sister has made him curious as much as her. "You'll see."
Not a long walk after, Adrian sees the symbol from before when he first came to the Dark Dimension. "Why are we here again?" Another question left ignored. Sebastian knows that he has to transform this kid first or else they he will not be able to proceed with his plan of attack on the Dimensional Nation. "Stand in the center of the circle." Unsure but willing, Adrian walks up onto the symbol and stands right at the very center where the cross section meets.
"Now, push the sword into the center of the circle." Sebastian commanded. Adrian then started searching for a hole for the sword to fit in but found none. "Uh...I think the sword would break if I do it. There's no hole for it to fit through." Sebastian started to lose his patients and reminded Adrian again, this time with the voice "Just do it. Remember what I told you. Nothing in this world is ordinary."
Adrian looked at the sword and then at Sebastian and back again over and over. His hesitation is driven right to the core and yet the only thing that's not stopping him from what he's about to do is his sister's words. No matter who that person is, if we can help, we help.
With one last breath, Adrian pushes the sword into the ground. His eyes closed, fear the sword would shatter and the pieces would fly towards him. However, no sound of shattering can be heard. Nor was there any sound of metal pieces clacking to the ground. The only sound was his racing heart and his heavy breathing. When he opened his eyes, a grey fog starts circulating around him. He's losing sight of Sebastian. He can't even see his feet with that grey fog surrounding him.
"Sebastian?! What's going on?" Adrian called out but could hear nothing. "Sebastian!" He called out again and again but no respons can be heard. Either it's the thick fog that's making it hard for him to hear or his head is just feeling dizzy and out of place. "What's happening?" Before long, his consciousness dissipated and he fell down to the ground.
On the other side of the fog....
"Now you have no choice but to trust us, boy. For you are now the new leader of the Dark Dimension. All of what you learned would be from us and all of your memories of the past will only be about us." Sebastian spoke matter-of-factly. He smiles vengefully. His plan of attack can now be fulfilled.
