The Dimensional Defenders : The Birth Of A Hero

Chapter 13

Journal entry 1 : Sarah

My whole life, I've been waiting for this very moment. Well, actually I never thought that the world that I always imagine everyday would turn out to be real and as it turns out, I was an inheritance to my grandmother. The ability that I have actually came from her. And now that I'm starting a new way of life here, I've been getting used to it quite fast. I haven't started training with the others yet but I will.

After presenting the know and how of each of the characters' personality, the Dimensional Nation just lit up with white all around. Then, my grandmother guide me around and told me about how to use my powers in this world to call in other stories that live within the ecosystem of the Dimensional Nation. The first character that I actually called was Eli Shane, the legendary protector of Slugterra. I called him and his gang, the Shane gang.

Telling where they are and explaining how I know about them, they decided to stay for a few days before returning back to the 99 caverns just to take a few breaks. What I told them was better of an idea. I can't let them forget their responsibility to protect the 99 caverns so I figured that the best option was for them to take turns patrolling and living back at the hideout back at the caverns and then live back here when it's someone else's turn.

It was a good idea but no one voluntarily decides to go back. I mean, having a place of relaxation, who would want to go back to work? So, they drew straws and as I would've always figured, well at least it was just a hunch, Pronto ended up having to go on patrol first. I laughed that it was he who had to go on patrol first. Seeing his mad face, I ushered him that after his patrol, he doesn't have to worry after Trixie which before that was Eli and then Kord, so he would have a whole 3 day of rest without stopping.

Of course, that only helped a little so I decided to do something that could give him the edge, a swimming pool with a place to sunbath as well as a modernized PS4 game console and a training course for them to train slug slinging. Now that convinced them. So convinced that Pronto went straight back and told them to not go in the pool until he gets back. Of course, Kord and Eli would never try to listen. Then, grandma ushered me to call in more stories.

I did. I called in Max and Steel from the story of Max Steel, Beck and Sam from the story of Tron Uprising and Tron Legacy, Ralph and Vanellope from the story of Wreck-it Ralph, Tris from Divergent, Katniss from The Hunger Games, Dave from The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Harry from Harry Potter, Lloyd from Lego Ninjago, Emmet from The Lego Movie, Jesse from Minecraft Story Mode, Po from Kung Fu Panda, and a whole bunch more.

There were so many stories on my list, I got really tired after all that calling and introducing and creating. Grandma said that it does uses a lot of energy but because I was still young that's how I was able to call a lot of them in in one day. Still, I figured of calling the others on the next day which means that I needed a place to sleep and so was the others. As it turns out, the center of the Dimensional Nation, the heart of that world was our headquarters.

It's amazing. My grandma said that as the new creator and protector of the Dimensional Nation, everything is based on my previous imaginations for the past several years. So, of course, there was the frozen lake behind it, the room for boys, room for girls and my own bedroom, the meeting room, the discussion room, the surveillance room and a beautiful cliffside with the view of the dramatic sunset. At the bottom of the cliffside was a deep river and vast forest surrounding it.

Pretty intense, isn't it? I got a really good impression from Hiccup and the others. They never thought that someone like me could have such an impowering imagination. To me, it's great to have such vivid and realisfic imaginations and then it becomes real, but that only means that I don't have something that is originally based on me. I always copy and try to change a few things to make it look like how I would imagine it but in the end it always ends up being something else instead of something that is me.

I didn't say about it because we just met and letting off my bad side which is showcasing my weakness which is hesitation could lead to them having second thoughts about me being their leader. Besides, they wouldn't even think about showcasing their weaknesses to me if I just met them but I already discovered them so there's practically no point of hiding it. Everything that happened here has already been great so far. Grandma said that tomorrow, she'll continue to teach me a few things and then she'll stay at the Elder's Gathering Circle.

All of this is great an everything but how come I have this feeling that there's more to the Dimensional Nation than just a crossover world? Something is not right and I think grandma is keeping her mouth shut about it. Now that I'm here, there's no rule saying that I can't snoop around. This is going to be interesting.
