Y/n's POV

Well, that was eventful to say the least. I don't even know what to think. What the hell Ross! And, to make life just a little more exciting, people are divided and yelling while I'm just sitting here with a headache. Woopie.

"Secretary Ross has a Congressional Medal of Honor. Which is one more then you have." Rhodey motions to Sam.

"So lets say we agree, how long is it gonna be before they Lojack us like a bunch of common criminals?"

"117 countries want to sign this, 117Sam. And you're just like no it's cool-"

" How long are you gonna play both sides?!"

I am ready to get up and leave the room until Vision speaks up causing the two to stop bickering.

" I have an equation,"

"Oh, well this will clear it up"

"Come on Sam, really?" I just couldn't take it anymore

"In the eight years since Mr. Stark has announced himself as Iron Man, a number of known enhanced persons has grown exponentially. During the same period, the number of potentially world-ending events has risen at a commensurate rate."

"These things are our fault?" Steve pipes in.

"I'm saying there may be a casualty. Our very strength invites challenges, challenges incites conflict. Conflict...breeds catastrophe. Oversight, oversight is not an idea that can be dismissed out of hand. "

"Boom"

" Really Rhodey?! Was that totally necessary?"

"What? Y/n are you siding with them on this?"

"No, I'm not siding with anyone because there are no sides. The Avengers are not going to get into a civil war over something like this. We're they Avengers, or so I thought, if we go down, we go down together, non of this 'pick a side or you're out' nonsense!"

"Well now that's just delusional."

"Okay that is enough. Tony, you're being uncharacteristically non-hyper verbal." Nat says looking over to my father with a scrunched face as he pinches the bridge of his nose.

"That's because he has already made up his mind." Steve utters.

"Oh you know me so well. I'm actually nursing a electromagnet headache. That's what's going on Cap, it's just pain, discomfort. Who's putting coffee grounds in the disposal? Am I running a bed and breakfast for a biker gang?"

As if his actions could not get anymore spastic in the next few seconds, he lightly throws his phone onto a bowl of fruit that sits on the counter and projects a picture of a young adult. The young man looks so happy in that photo, that only means that something went wrong because of us.

"Oh, that's Charles Spencer by the way. He's a great kid. Computer engineering degree, 3.6 GPA, had a floor-level gig and intel plan for the fall. But first, I wanna put a few miles on his soul. Before he parked it behind a desk, see the world, maybe be of service? Charlie didn't want to go to Vegas or Ft. Lauderdale, which is what I would do, he didn't go to Paris or Amsterdam, sounds fun. He decided to spend his summer building sustainable housing for the poor. Guess where, Sokovia." A loud snapping noise came from around him adding more affect to his anger as if the guilt was not eating at me already I was now half scared to death by that sound.

"He wanted to make a difference. I suppose I mean, we won't know because we dropped a building on him while we were kicking ass." I look around the room, no matter who they were or what they wanted, everybody's heads hung low in guilt and sadness. "There is no decision making process here. We need to be put in check. Whatever form that takes, I'm game. If we cannot except limitations we're boundary less, we're no better then the bad guys. "

"Tony, someone dies on your watch you don't give up." Steve mutters just more than a whisper.

"Who said we're giving up?"

"We are if we're not taking responsibility for our actions. This document just shifts the blame."

Of course, someone has to clock what Steve just said and it happens to be Rhodey. "Sorry Steve, that- that's dangerously arrogant. This is the United Nations we're talking about, not the.. World Security council, it's not SHIELD, it's not Hydra-"

"No, but it is run by people with agendas and agendas change."

"That's good, that's why I'm here. When I realized what my weapons were capable of in the wrong hands, I shut it down and stopped manufacturing." Tony spoke.

"Tony, you chose to do that. If we sign this we surrender our right to choose. What if this panel sends us somewhere we don't think we should go? What if, there is somewhere we need to go and they don't let us? We may not be perfect, but the safest hands are still our own."

I stand up causing everyone to shift their gaze to me " Yeah, I think this is my time to go. I think I am going to go take some Tylenol for this migraine and I will see you all on the same page. Bye bye." Ignoring the protests and the comments from Rhodey and Sam, I leave the room and find the one place that will never be divided, my bedroom.
