James POV
I woke up and saw a note.

Hey James had to go to work. Be safe and please don't go home. Take care be back by the usual time. See you soon ototou.

"See you soon as well." I said to myself as I got up. I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. "Sheesh." I said as I stared at my scarred and bruised covered upper body. I looked at the new one. "That will last a few days. It's so ugly." I whispered. Now I'm not really a muscle guy but I will fight since I can tolerate pain. I'm more of just a lean guy who loves food. Even at my age I'm still underweight because of the lack of nutrition from my childhood since I was constantly beaten. I'm really skinny but have some meat on my bones... "I hate it." I said. I hate being skinny. I'm supposed to be 126 lbs but I'm just 112 and I hate it. I look disgusting. Like I said when I was younger I wish I was overweight than under. "And i still wish I was." I sighed. I hate my body. I'm not saying all skinny people are disgusting just coming from my background, I just hate how I look. I shook my head. Some people wish they were this weight... but I don't understand why... why want to be weighing less, when you know you eat good?

He doesnt understand many things. His childhood is the cause of that. It's hard to understand stuff when you don't even know what is going on.

I hissed when I touched my black eye. I sighed. "It shouldn't matter what I look like. I just wish I some more meat on my bones." I said putting my shirt and jacket on. I grabbed the keys and left the tiny house. I began walking to the cafe and checked if I had money. Thank you for the birthday money Aniki. It was just a 10 dollar bill but that was everything I needed. Alot of stuff was cheap. I smiled softly and continued to walk. I was gonna go inside the cafe when I saw red hair go into the store next to it.

I caught a glimpse of their face. Fuck no!! I ran into the store and saw her at the cereal isle. Please tell me I'm wrong. Please god. I rushed to her and grasped her shoulder spinning her around. "James!" She shouted at me. I looked at her face. Black eye, busted lip, cuts on her cheek and forehead. She had a badly bruised cheek and a cut on her nose. I stared at her with wide and shocked eyes. I felt tears built up when I saw the hand prints on her throat. He finally got her like me... I brought her into a hug and hugged her tiny waist. "James..." I had a hand on her back and an arm around her waist. My head was in the crook of her neck somewhat. At 5'11 I stand, that poor excuse of a father is 6'3. Him hitting me I dont mind, but Jamie shes only 5'3. Shes tiny and her entire body is too. Shes only 17... "When?" "Yesterday..." I hugged her tighter. "Why?" I said as I held her head. "Because.." She then shoved me away from her. I stared at her. "Because of you!!!!" I saw her glare.
