A knock on the window and suddenly the peacefulness of a Saturday is lost.
Anais lifted her head from her bed to look out the window. There he was. Oliver stood leaned over to look inside of her bedroom. One hand semi circled over his forehead and the other made into a fist. Oliver smiled up at her as she moved off of the bed and over to the window. Anais gave him a blank stare she unlocked the window and began to move it up.
She moved back as she reddish brown haired boy pushed his way threw her window.
"Why are you here?" Anais whispered lightly as she looked over at her door. Her parents could barge in at anytime. Oliver gave her a meek smile in return as he closed and re-locked the window.
"They wouldn't know" He promised.
Anais watched him move across her room, picking up random things and sitting them back down. He made his way to her bed before sitting down on it.
"I've never been in your room before" slight awe in his voice as he looked around before stopped to meet Anais's eyes.
"Why did you come here" she repeated crossing her arms.
"I thought we could spend some time together"
"We spent time together last night'
"No, not like that. Spend time like us" He reposed with a shake of his head.
"The Anais Oliver way" He contiened.
Oliver was the worst kind of person. He hid his abusive behind familler masks, Anais knew what he was. He wasn't her Oliver anymore, maybe her Oliver was never real. But times like this she could pretend and right now pretending felt nice.
Anais couldn't help the smile that crowned her face as she made her way over to him. His arms embraced her in a tight hug as the two laid down on the small bed. Oliver stayed still as Anais pushed her head into his chest. His hands found their way into her ink colored hair as they staied in silence."Why is your heart beating so fast?" Oliver whisptered, so quietly as though he was afraid he would break the frail moment.
"I'm just nervous" Anais mumbled moving her head up to look at him.
"I making you nervous?"
"Of course, a good type of nervous" He smiled lightly at her words before talking again.
"Tell me, what are you thinking about" Oliver questioned.
"I'm not thinking about anything inportant" Anais said quietly.
"Then why is your face all wrinkled up" He pushed.
"I'm thinking about us, about leaving my parents behind and moving to the city" Oliver nodded his head, but looked confused. His hands stopped mid-pet as he too weinkled up his eyebrows.
Anais felt her body freeze in panic, now she wished she lied. In the moment she forgot she was laying next to a monster, but now she remebers. The warmth that was just there a second ago is now long gone. Slowly Anais pushed herself off of Oliver and sat on the end of the bed watching his actions, waiting for the outburst. Oppisitly to her Oliver got up in a much faster speed and also sat on the edge. Anais watched in silence as he began to fiddling with his hands.
"You don't want to come with me, do you?" Anais felt sick. Her stomuch dropped and she felt like she was going to throw up. She wanted to reach out and hug Oliver. He sounded so lost and broken that it made her want to do anything to fix it. However, Anais stayed glued to her spot as she watched.
"I want to be with you" She muttuered after a long silence. He was the only thing she knows after all. At the sound of her voice Oliver turned from the floor to look at her. His eyes that were glossy a second ago were now shiny. His eyes smiled but his mouth didn't, not like it mattered to Anais.
As His arms went back around her to hug her once more Anais's body calmed down from the flight or fight and began to relax once more.
