Carefully Anais leaned down to slip off his shoes and placed them down by the end of her bed. Oliver was muttering something under his breath she didn't understand, so she choose to ignore it.
"I'll be right back" Anais whisptered to him as she stood up, but she was stopped when he grabed her arm.
"You said you would never leave me"
"I'm coming right back" Anais said lightly tugging her arm away from him and leaning down to place a kiss of his redden cheek.
She closed the door as quietly as possible before looking down the hall towards her parents room, the lights weren't on but Anais could still hear their hushed words. She couldn't make out what they were saying and begn to creep towards their doorway. The sound of something falling in her room snapped her back to her task. Anais changed directions to the bathroom and began to fill the glass next to the sink with water. Quielty she dug around the top draws until she found some ibuprofen.
Oliver looked up at her with glossy eyes as Anais walked into the room with her remedy.
"you came back" he said gleefuly, falling back onto her bed. Anais only smiled as she walked over to sit down next to him. She handed him the ibuprofen and water. Anais was glad he had came to her inside of going home. Drunk Oliver always got the worst headaches and his mother didn't "belive" in mediance, Anais would hate for him to suffer from something that could be solved. She put her hand on his forehead, pushing his auburn hair back. Oliver swallowed the pill and nodded to Anais as a thanks before leaning into her hand. Noticing she had forgotten to relock the door Anais stood back up to fix that problem.
"What are you doing?" She said panicky as Oliver pulled his shirt over his head.
"I feel hot" He exclaimed as he began to fiddle with his pants.
"no no no, you have to keep your clothes on" Anais said as she picked up his shirt and moved his hands away from his zipper.
"I'll open the window just please keep your pants on"
Anais looked out at the dark sky as she opened the window the sound of Oliver's mutters coming back again. She sighed loudly before making her way back to him. Anais placed her hand down on top of Oliver's and offered him a small smile.
"Better?" She asked. Oliver stayed quiet for a minute before quietly beginning to cry into his other hand.
"I love you so much" He said threw tears. Anais could feel the panic in her bones as she reached up to wipe his face for him.
"I love you too" She whispered in return as she looked him in the eyes.
"Prove it to me"
Anais knew what that was code for and placed one hand on Oliver's cheek and the other on his neck as she brought him closer to her. She lightly placed her lips on his as he reached up with his own hands and made fisted of her shirt. Oliver kissed back slightly sloppy, but just as lightly as Anais had. Oliver was the one to end in by pushing her back slightly. The two looked dazed as they stared at each other.
"Not like that" Anais looked at him confused.
"What do you mean?"
Oliver didn't respond and moved one of his hands into his pocket. He fished around for a minute before taking something out. Oliver laid his hand out flat so Anais could see what it was. A pocket knife.
Anais shook her head at him as she tried to get off the bed. Oliver had seemed to sober up and tugged her back down.
"It's not going to hurt"
"What are you going to do" Anais said shakily as she stared down at the knife.
"More like what are we going to do" Oliver said as he brought one of her hands up to his own.
"Remember when we were kids and would do spit pacts?" Anais nodded.
"It will be just like that, but this time we aren't kids and it wouldn't be spit" He continued.
"A blood pact?" Anais asked, eyes darting back and forth from the sharp blade to their hands. Oliver nodded before letting go of her wrist, letting in fall onto her lap.
They both eyed the shiny blade as he brought it up and sliced his palm. Red began to pool around the cut as he motioned for Anais to take her cut.
"This is prove it?" Her voice quivered as Oliver nodded and she took the knife from him. She looked over the silver blade that now had a reddish glint to it before swiftly cutting her own palm. Anais gasped at the burning feeling as blood began to surface. Oliver watched her bleed with a look of awe before taking her hand and pushing them together. They both watched the other as their blood mixed.
"Isn't this romantic baby" He said as a drop of blood fell and stained his pants.
