Chapter Five

Why would she kiss me?
Is she playing with me?

I turn to my right and see her getting her makeup touched up for another session of photos.

I sigh looking back at my phone seeing a text from Tessa.

That was the last text.

"Juls!" I flinch at my name, seeing Tessa jog up to me from the entrance.
I smile at her, feeling a lot better after the "Valentina" incident.

"Hey babe," I peck her lips, but she holds me for longer and then sighs into the kiss.
"Damn, I really missed you, huh?" She finds my eyes, as I try not to pull her into a full on make out in the middle of a photoshoot.
"Stop teasing me, I'm working," I whisper lowly so only her could hear.
She smiles, pulling away, "Sorry, Juls!" She laughs as she walks away.
"Imma grab a bite, see you!"
And leaves out the door.

I then hear the camera snap a picture of a model.
I notice the model is Valentina who was looking my way, but turns back around and poses for the camera.
I shake my head as I run a hand through my hair.
It's going to be a long day.

"So, I have an idea for this summer vacation!" Tessa squeaks out as she brings the bowl of popcorn to me and sits down besides me.
I turn to her, "What idea?" I reach for a popcorn and pop it into my mouth as she flips through the various Netflix shows until she finds one she likes.
"Locked Up? I've never heard of this," she clicks on it and it kinda looked.
"Gaayy!" We both say, followed by a laugh.
She turns to face me and keeps on.
"I just think we should invite other people for the trip, you know?"
"It feels kinda lonely, and besides you never told me you had a friend that was a model."
My heart drops.
What?
I whip my head towards her and gulp down the popcorn.
What?
"Uhh-"
"I mean, she's very hot and interesting. She has the personality of a bad ass! And a name of a bad ass...Valentina!"
Fuck. Me.

I smile at her, "Really? You think so?"
She nods at me excitedly, "Yes and I already got her contact and invited her."

Tessa!!!

"What'd she said?"
I could feel my hands sweat from anxiety.
"Yes, she loved to!"
And all of the sudden my stomach hurts.
"Umm, Tess I have to use the bathroom. Be right back," and I ran upstairs to the top bathroom.
Then close the door and puked.
Kill me now...
I will never let Tessa decide ever again.

I'm sitting here, pondering whether I should hang myself or help Tessa carry the suitcases.
"Babe, help me!" She whines, and I whine.
"Okay!" I whined as I grab onto one of the bags and pick it up.
I take it to the car's trunk and close it.
"There, all set," I turn to Tessa who's all happy and smirky.
"Thanks babe!" And walks to the passenger side.
I go to the backseat since her dad agreed to take us to the airport.

I look down at my phone and see a message from Sergio.

I turn my phone off and look out they windows while Tessa and her father argue about the music.

I can't hear them. I can't tell if they're talking or anything at all.
I did hit my head pretty hard.
I groan as I lay back down the ground. The concrete ground where I fell.
I try to get up once again but the person in front of me stopped me from doing.
"No, you might have a concussion...just please don't fall asleep," their voice sounded worry sick as well as feminine.
I could finally see them and I felt a rush of serotonin.
She's beautiful.
"Umm, it's fine! I'm okay," and I try to sit up but my head ached in doing so.
I slowly lay back down, "Or maybe not."
And she smiles.
"Your something else," and her thumb caresses my brow.
Maybe it's time to move on.
