"Morning, Sweetheart!" Alan greeted his daughter. "You're up early. What's the occasion?"

"Nothing, really, just felt like waking up," Olivia answered groggily.

Olivia usually sleep in till ten, but she has plans for today, and it's with Natasha. They were going to Ginny's house to hang out, which mean she'll most likely make another friend no matter what!

"Morning, Olivia!" her mom greeted with a warm smile. "Here you are, a nice cup of coffee!"

She handed her daughter the mug.

"Thanks!" Olivia tell her.

Lindsey went to set up a plate of food for her. She loaded the plate with toasts, sausage links, and an omelette loaded with cheese and chopped bacon. She give her daughter the plate.

"Thanks, mom," Olivia tell her mom.

"Sure thing, babe!" Lindsey said happily.

Then she joined her husband at the table to eat her own food.

"Since we're new people of Littlebark, do we think we should set up a neighborhood cookout, dear?" Alan asked his wife.

"That'll be great! What better way to meet our new neighbors than a house party!" Lindsey replied excitingly. "We can even invite their friends too! Great idea, dear!"

"Of course, Baby Cake! I always make awesome plans!" Alan said with pride.

Both couples were laughing. They're always in the good mood, even on bad days.

"So, Olivia, do you like your new room?" Lindsey asked.

"It's prefect. Nice and dark, just the way I like it," she answered.

"I knew she would like it!" Lindsey tell her husband with a grin.

"Well, just saying, it's the other half of the attic, but if our daughter love it, then that's all that mattered to me," Alan said.

"You always want to please your daughter!" his wife reply.

"True, but it's the father's job to please his girl!" Alan responded.

"Of course, it is! You're a father to Olivia!" Lindsey replied with a laugh.

"And a great one!" her husband said happily.

The married couple laughed again. Their daughter just eat on with her breakfast.

By the time they finished, it was half past eight. Olivia needed to get ready to leave.

"Any plans for today, babe?" Lindsey asked her daughter.

"Natasha texted me. She want to hang out with her best friend and she wanted to bring me along," Olivia answered. "She'll be here around nine, and I am still in my sleep clothes."

"That should be fun," Lindsey said happily. "Only two days in Littlebark and already up to two new friends! Why can't your father and I make new friends that quick?!"

"Well, have fun, sweetheart! Be sure to return around seven. Your mother want to cook up her fabulous spaghetti for dinner tonight," Alan informed.

"Cool. I do like mom's cooking," Olivia said as she went upstairs to change and put on her gothic makeup.

By the time she's all dressed for the day, a knock on the door was made. She went downstairs to answer it.

"Hey, Olivia! You looked awesome this morning," Natasha greeted.

"Thanks," Olivia said with a shy smile.

Then both girls leave to go to Natasha's best friend's house.
