I wasn't scared.

We were getting attacked by another gang, and I wasn't scared.

I watch the red water go down the drain as my thoughts consume me. I killed two men, and I didn't even hesitate. I wasn't scared. I wasn't worried. I was calm.

My adrenaline was pumping through the roof. I let out my inner bad bitch, and I could tell Chandler was impressed. I've never killed anyone before, and now I've killed two people without even thinking about it and enjoyed it.

Seriously, what is wrong with me?

I turn off the water and watch the last bit of red go down the drain. I grab a towel and get out. I wrap the towel around my body and grab the gun from the counter and walk out.

"I can leave now if you want me to." the guard says.

"Yes please. I'll be ok." I say and he nods.

He walks out of the door and closes it. I toss the gun on the bed and walk over to my suitcase. I throw on a pair of sweats and a crop top. I grab my jacket and slide on my slides.

"What are you doing?" Chandler asks as he walks into the room.

"I need to drive and clear my head." I say.

"I'm coming with you." he says and I shake my head.

"No I'm fine, I just need to be alone right now." I say.

"Fine, but I want you to call me. I don't want anything happening to you." he says.

I grab the gun and put it in my purse. I walk over to Chandler and wrap my arms around him.

"I'll be ok. And I promise I'll call you. Now, can I have your car keys?" I say and he laughs.

"They're downstairs on the kitchen counter." he says and I smile.

"I'll be back later." I say and he nods.

He leans down and kisses me on the lips. He pulls away and smiles.

I walk out of his room and down the stairs. I go into the kitchen and see Marcus sitting on the counter.

"Where you going M?" Marcus asks and I smile at the nickname.

"I'm just going on a drive to clear my head." I say and he nods.

"How are you feeling?" he asks me.

"Well considering the fact that I just killed two people, I feel great." I say and he laughs.

"It doesn't feel real does it." he says and I nod.

"I just did it and I didn't even think about it. Just how I shot my ex earlier at the diner. I pulled the trigger without thinking about what I was doing." I say.

"You were protecting yourself and the people you care about. You don't really think about it, you just do it. But I know how you feel. I've been doing this for years and it still feels weird to me at times." he says.

I give him a small smile and grab the keys off the counter.

"Be safe." he says.
-----------------

I look down at the clock and it's 4:23. I didn't even realize it was this early.

I've been driving around for about 45 minutes trying to clear my head, but it wasn't working. And there is only one person who can help me.

After about 10 minutes, I pull up to my old apartment. I get out of the car and lock it and walk inside.

Once I reach my apartment, I knock on the door.

"Now I know somebody isn't knocking on my door at fucking four in the morning." I hear Lanii say.

The door swings open and she looks at me confused.

"Bitch you got a damn key." she says and I laugh.

I walk in and she shuts the door.

"I know, but I didn't wanna scare you by coming in so early." I say as I go over to the couch.

"And why are you here this early?" she asks me as she sits on the chair in front of me.

"Bitch it's a long story." I say.

"Well I'll go make us some coffee then." she says and I laugh.

She gets up and goes to the kitchen and I pull it my phone and call Chandler.

"Everything ok princess? You've been gone for a while." he says and I smile.

"Yes everything is ok. I'm at my old apartment talking to Lanii. I don't know when exactly I'll be home." I say.

"No rush. I know you guys probably need to talk to each other." he says and I laugh.

"I'll call you when I leave." I say.

"Ok, be safe." he says and I hang up.

"Ok so spill." she says as she hands me my coffee.

I explain everything to her in detail, from us going to the Diner and to getting attacked by a gang.

"Bitch this all happened in a one day span?" she says and I nod.

"It was crazy." I say.

"So Jaxon used to work for Chandler, and now he has his own gang?" she asks and I nod.

"That's fucking crazy. I always hated that white ass bitch." she says and I laugh.

"But anyway, I don't know what's wrong with me." I say.

"Explain." she says.

"I shot Jaxon in the leg before even thinking about it. And I killed two people. Two people! And I never flinched." I say.

"Well you're just a crazy bitch." she says and I shake my head.

"Yes I know that, but this is different. I actually enjoyed killing those men. I liked seeing them bleed out. And knowing that I was the one to cause that pain made it 10x better. I seriously don't know what's wrong with me." I say.

"You act like you haven't killed anyone before." she says and I laugh.

"That's because I haven't!" I say back and we both bust out laughing.

"We need to watch that movie again. But anyway, you were in the moment. You haven't felt that type of energy before." she says.

"I guess so. It just all happened so fast." I say.

We hear a knock on the door and we both look at each other. I stand up and walk quietly to the door and look out the peephole.

I turn around and look at Lanii. I walk over to my purse and grab my gun.

"Bitch what the fuck is that!" she says and I cover her mouth.

"Be quiet! Now go answer the door and act all sleepy. And I'm not here!" I say and I let go of her mouth.

"Who's at the door?" she asks.

"Jaxon."
