Fast Forward a year later......

Alex POV:
This last year with her has been great. Jen and I have been getting to know each other, and hanging out a lot, and I think I am ready to ask her to be my wife. Obviously I want her to be ok with that, but that's completely her decision. Today I'm taking her to a private boardwalk. Just me and her. It's gonna be amazing.

Jens POV:
"This past year with Alex have been going great. I think we're ready to make it official." I tell Leah on the phone. "That's great baby, I'm so happy for u." "Thank you baby I'll talk to you later." I'm on my way to my last show of the tour. Its been such a great journey for me, and I'm so happy that Alex has been with me. Alex invited me over tonight for a little dinner and I'm really excited. I have to figure out what I'm going to wear for it tho. Not now. I have to do my show.

Fast forward to after........

The show was great, I was a little emotional because I am going to miss my team. They're such a big part of my life, and it sucks that the tour stops here. Anyway now I can focus on my date. I'm really nervous about it. I go home, take a shower, and by this time it's already around 8pm. I get out of the shower and call Leah over so she can help me pick an outfit. "Ok, so it has to be something sexy ofc to show off this perfect body of yours, butttttt not too sexy to wear he can't focus." Leah says while laughing. She's so funny and I'm so glad I can experience this with her. "Hahaha, ok so how about this?" I asked. It was a black dress with cleavage but not too much. It fit my shape perfectly. I love it. "YESSSSS MAMA LOOK AT YOUUU YOURE GORGEOUS!!! HE WONT BE ABLE TO KEEP HIS HANDS OFF YOU!!" Leah says with such certainty and loudness. "You think so?" I say curious. "Oh baby I know." Leah says. "Ok yay this is it. Thank you love. For helping me with everything. I love you." I say teary eyed. "You're welcome. You're my best friend and I would do anything for you. You know that." Leah says. We hugged for a while and then I hear the doorbell ring. I open the door and it's Alex. God he looks so handsome. "Hi baby....... wow you. Look. Amazing." Alex says in shock which made me so happy. "Aww hi baby thank you. Not too bad yourself." I say blushing. "Mmmhhhmm" Leah says annoyingly. "Wha- oh Alex you remember Leah my best friend, also the bartender who got us the cab that first night." "Ohhh I knew you looked familiar. Hi I'm Alex nice to meet you. I'm glad i finally get to meet you while I'm sober" he smirked a little. Leah just smiled. "Ok well I'll let you two go, I'll clean up here and then get back home." "Thank you baby." I hug her and kiss her on the cheek. Then Alex and I head out for our date.

Alex POV:
I'm on my way to pick Jen up for our date and I couldn't be more excited. I know she's gonna look gorgeous and I can't wait. I pull up to her house and I fix my hair and make sure I look really good. I walk up to her door and ring the doorbell. She opens the door and damn shes gorgeous. "Hi baby....... wow you. Look. Amazing." I say, completely amazed by her beauty. "Aww hi baby thank you. Not too bad yourself." She says in a sexy voice. Then I look and see the bartender that Jen was talking too. She introduced me, and turns out it's her best friend and her name is Leah. She's very nice and I'm glad we are meeting on good terms. Jen and I walk out of the door and get in the car. I open the door for her and she gets in. I get in on the other side, and the ride is kind of quiet. I wanted to start a conversation with her so I say: "So how long have you known Leah?" "Umm I would say about 20 years now." "Wow that's a long time. Haha. You guys must be really close?" "Yea ofc. Leahs my best friend. My ride or die. My everything. So expect to be seeing a lot more of her lmao." Shes is so cute. Especially when she laughs and smiles. It warms my heart so much. We finally get to the dock and it's beautiful. The people that set it up did an amazing job. It's exactly how I want it. I just really hope she says yes.

Jens POV:
We leave to get in the car. He opens the door for me like the gentleman he is and gets on the other side. The rides kinda quiet except our talk about Leah. He's so sweet and I just love him so much. We get to the date and it's absolutely stunning. There are rose petals leading to the dock. There's classical music playing. There's a cute little dinner. It's perfect. He's perfect. We sit down to eat, and I just can't stop looking at how handsome he is. I know this is just a date, but something about this feels different. I just wanna know what it is.

Alex POV:
I am so nervous. I have been wanting Jen to be my wife since the first day I met her. She's such an amazing person, I can't wait. "Hey, come sit with me by the water." I say excited. "Ok, Papi what's up?" She says anxiously. "First off, I just wanted to say how much I love having you in my life. You contribute so much to my life, and I could not imagine it without you. I know we've only been dating for a year now, but it feels like I've know you forever. You're my forever now. Along with our kids. I love you Jennifer, I always have and I always will. I know we don't have the best track record when it comes to relationships, but I know that this is a forever thing." I get down on one knee. I see tears in her eyes and mine start to fill up too. "So Miss Jennifer Lynn Lopez. Will you marry me?" "AHH OMG YES YES YES OFC!!!" She is so excited. I am so happy that she said yes. She's my parter, my home, everything.

Jens POV:
We go sit by the water after we were done eating. Alex grabs my hands and looks me straight in the eyes. He says: "First off, I just wanted to say how much I love having you in my life. By the time he finished that I was in full on tears. It was almost embarrassing. "So Miss Jennifer Lynn Lopez. Will you marry me?" I am speechless right now. All I can do is scream. I say "AHH OMG YES YES YES OFC!!!" I grabbed his face and kneel down in front of him. I grab his face even tighter and kiss him, and kiss him. I never thought this would happen again. I thought with Marc that he was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I was so wrong. God puts people in your life for a reason. God makes things happen for a reason. I can't believe I'm going to be someone's wife again. I'm so ready for what the future has for us.
