Chapter 1:Yugi

Y/n walked back to her car feeling tired from work today. Recently she had gotten a job from a friend, and works full time now. She hated today, all day she was hit on. She worked in a maid cafe since she really needed the extra cash. Everytime one of the chefs would cat call her, her friend yugi would march up to them and have a 'special' talk with them. By 'special' he was threatening to fire them.

As she got into her car she shivered as the wind blew her hair. Goose bumps were obviously taking over her body. She felt more uncomfortable when she saw a group of men wearing questionable outfits that made them look like delinquents. She could NOT let them see her in uniform. She hurried and unlocked her car and stepped in, her head softly brushed against the roof of the car from her pace. She turned the car on and locked the doors. "Hey girl." The guys chuckled. As soon as she heard that she stepped on it.

When she got home, she immediately changed outfits. The maid outfits were not 'sexy' or 'great for bed' or any of the sort. Yugi didn't want to make the girls uncomfortable so he ordered their skirts a little bit longer. As soon as y/n's boss came into mind she decided to call him.

She sat down on the bed and dialed up his number, barely noticing it was actually really dark outside. No dur, it was night time. But it was like 7.

"Hello?" A sweet voice answered.
"Hey yugi."
"Oh y/n! Did you like your new job? Sorry about the guys looking at you I made sure they were threatened-would never do it again."
"Great, can't wait till tomorrow."
"Are you okay with the outfit? I saw how you kept tugging it down at the cafe. You want me to get you a longer one?"
"No it's fine it's just me being insecure."
"Insecure? Y/n you were the most requested maid in there the hell." Yugi chuckled.
"Whatever loser."

    Y/n was comfortable insulting yugi, as a joke of course. They have known each other since Highschool, and were great friends. She didn't have to watch her mouth when she talked to him. It was her dream manager.

    "Alright y/n, you free on Wednesday? The guys wanna hang out at the cafe as soon as it closes and do karaoke."
    "Yugi, I'm so down for that day."
    "Great, just stay after work. Oh and stay in uniform for a few more minutes, Joey wants to make fun of you."
    "Okay, ill just make him wear it then."

    "Oh god that would be great."

    As the two talked y/n kept staring at the clock. She had a second job at a gas station. Poor girl would work herself to death just for money. She needed to pay off her text books, and was saving up for when she HAD to pay her student loans.

    "Yugi I gotta get to my other job."
    "Seriously? How about I give you a raise for uh...existing."
    "As much as I enjoy 'existing' I cannot allow you playing favorites."
    "okay fine but uh do me a favor and be careful, Domino city is dangerous at night."
    "psh ill be fine."
    "y/n you want me to drive you to work actually? I can if you want."
    "Yugi I'm fine. Dont worry."
    "no y/n haven't you seen the news? Everyone in Domino city have been going missing or found dead."
    "crap really?"

    "yeah, and most of them are GIRLS, YOUR AGE!"
    "huh, well what are the chances of me dying."
    "very high, I can still drive you, or I'll ask Tea to drive you."
    "nah Tea might be sleeping I dont wanna wake her up."

    "Are you sure?"
    "yugi ill be fine! Dont worry."
    "I dont know what ill do if you suddenly went missing."
    "uh, look for me, and uh, be a hero."
    "so easy." Yugi rolled his eyes.
    "so see you tomorrow Yugi."
    "Kay then, goodnight y/n."

    "night."

As y/n dropped the phone she quickly got into her closet to look for the right shirt to wear. Before that she turned on the T.V. She wasn't a fan of the silence, she needed something to be heard when she's cooking, showering, even sleeping.

"Another Women found dead tonight, detectives are working on the case to find out who the real killer is. Women stay inside, he's most likely looking for women in their 20's. More news has been reported that another young male was found slaughtered in a back alley way behind a charity event. Mere inches away from the famous Maid cafe. Workers, please be careful when arriving home...Detectives say.."

Y/n POV
I got dressed in casual clothing since there really wasn't any work clothes in a gas station. The news is starting to worry me, maybe I should have excepted yugi's offer about driving me there. Oh well, I wont die till a long time and ill make sure of it.

Taking a seat in my car, the atmosphere somehow felt more colder than usual. Someone is watching me and I know it. Or maybe I'm just paranoid. I shook put the random scenarios in my head and continued driving. As I drove I swear to everything on my life I saw Yugi in the rear view mirror. When there was a stop light i turned around to see nothing there.

Okay yeah I'm definitely paranoid.

I walk in the gas station thankful that it was finally light in here.
"Hey Bitch ill be going home now, lock up everything before 2am."
"uh huh..." I glared at my boss. He shrugged and left, spinning the keys around his fingers.

It was a very slow day because only about 3 customers went in the last few hours. I was already finished with my college work, so I went ahead and started the Play Station. As I was raging while playing Sly Cooper, the door opened with a slam. I jumped, and was startled by the sudden loud noise in this empty, quiet place.

"Do you have any....Clorox here." The man asked. I swear he looked like yugi's doppelgänger.  Tri colored hair, lighting bolts for bangs that went all across his hair. Deep intoxicating red eyes, he was attractive from the start, he narrowed his eyes at me before smirking.
"Oh hello there I apologize for the sudden interruption." His eyes never left mine as I scooted across the counter to help him find the Clorox.

He was following close behind me, way to into my personal space. "Right here sir." I said as i pointed at the cleaning section.
He only smiled before looking at me. His eyes grew darker, if that was possible. "What do you think of me now?" He grinned.

"....uh, a customer."

He widened his eyes before taking a step back. "H-huh?" He asked bewildered.
"so uh if theres anything I can help you with feel free to ask me."
I quickly turned around to get away from him, he was really cute. Like a more serious, tough version of Yugi. When I sat down he could only stare at me.

"what?" I said right before stuffing my face with a doughnut.

"Look into my eyes will you?" He smiled as he leaned his face towards mine. Okay I've dealt with creeps but nobody like this. I just did as he said, his eyes grew the deepest shade of red. "Woah dude, red eyes? Get that checked out jesus."

His mouth gaped open. "Oops, sorry dude looks like we're closing in a few seconds so you should get what you need." I yawned.
He walked away as if he was disappointed, I could hear him muttering a few words but whatever. He came back to the counter and dropped a shit ton of cleaning supplied in front of me. "Damn are you gonna kill someone." I jokingly asked.

"already did."
"funny." I said as I checked his stuff out.
"$32.21 please."
"well i was hoping that maybe I could repay you in another way." He said as he leaned in.
"Uh yeah, you can use credit cards if you want."

He frowned. "Okay what the hell why isnt anything working on you."
"Uh..what?"
"the spell! Why can't i-what?"
"uh, i dont know...but uh money please." I simply asked.

He smacked the money on the table. "Unbelievable, who are you?"
"uhm, a worker in this gas station.
"....." he stayed silent before laughing hysterically. "Oh I'm sorry...uh, i suppose we will meet again."
"okay, have a good day." I yawn before removing finally getting up from my chair.

He watched me as I closed the store. "Okay what do you want?" I glared at him.
"nothing, just....goodbye." He said. I turned around to lock the gates. "Okay, first of all-"

He was gone, like he just vanished into thin air. Well that was strange.
