Chapter 19: Confession

Y/n POV
"Joey hold y/n down." Yami said as he removed the rope he bought from the shopping bag.
"Jeez is it gonna hurt that much Yami?"
"Yes y/n...I can't lie to you, it will hurt so much that I'm sure you would want to stop immediately."
"Damn y/n, this is second level child birth for ya." Joey hesitated for a second before pinning me on the bed for Yugi to tie my arms and legs to the poles of my bed, the rope wasn't long enough so it snapped in half. "Damn it."

"Okay this is a little too much guys, Yami how long is the process anyways?"
"Just 5 minutes."
"5 minutes?!" Tristin spit his water on the floor.
"The pain will get worse by the second, it'll feel numb at first."

"Hey I'm here with the rag." Tea placed it on the bed.
"Great, gag her, she's probably going to bite down from the pain."
"I'm scared..." I admit.

Yami caressed my cheek as he frowned. He looked a little hurt by my statement but later composed himself.

"I hate doing this to you y/n but I guarantee that you will be safe after this. You can finally walk through the city without being bothered....or have me around.."
"What?!"
"Ey guys lets get a bucket of water just in case she starts sweating, ey Yugi come with me to the store, we need to get a longer rope."

The others left the room as Yami sighed. "Wait what do you mean not having you around?"
"Ive only stuck by you to keep you safe, I mean I did say in the beginning that I will only come to you when I'm hungry. Obviously I haven't been keeping my promises to you. I'm sure that you will be very happy to know that you will be getting your privacy back, your entire life will go back to normal. It's as if you and I would have never met. You'll still see me but maybe like..once every two months?"

"Why two months?"
"I don't want to bother you anymore." Yami looked at the floor. "I mean I've made you angry with me so many times...I followed you to your date, I figured out that I made you cry at the club, I showed up at your work place multiple times, and you didn't even want me coming along to your spa day with Tea because I pissed you off."

"Yami..."
"Now that I've gotten to know you better I realized that...you don't deserve this life. You deserve a better one. I don't want to be the reason on why you feel like your getting pulled back. If it means that ill have to shorten my time with you, then I suppose-"
"I dont want you to leave! I want you to stay with me!"

Yami stood silent and tilted his head. "...why?"
"I just do."
"That doesn't answer anything y/n. Why in gods name would you want someone like me being around you?"
"You're not even that bad."
"Y/n face it. You and I should have never formed this type of relationship. We are too different. A human friends with a vampire? That's only in fictional books, or fairy tails."
"So what? I don't care."

"But I do! What will people say once they find out I'm friends with you? I can't pretend I'm a human."
"Then don't."
"People will hate me, all humans hate us. What would they do if they found out you talk to me daily?"
"I don't care what others say stupid!" I wrap my arms around him. " want you to stay with me."
"But-"

I buried my face into his shoulders as I tightened the embrace.
"Shut up, you can't just leave me. How can I possibly be without you? You're apart of my life and the thought of losing you will drive me crazy because I just had to fall in love with you!"

I shot my eyes open with regret of my confession. I was too embarrassed to remove myself away from him. He just stood there speechless as I grew more worried for what he was going to say. I suppose he was taking his sweet time to let everything sink in. He still stayed quiet and I grew more anxious. The fan on and our breathing was the only thing separating the silence. I grew sick to my stomach. It was quiet.

Too quiet.

One minute has already passed with no words, still I was too embarrassed to let go of him. We stood there frozen, I knew he was shocked, but I never thought he would stay quiet for this long. He was tense, like when someone scares you and you feel vulnerable at that second. My heart was beating so fast I bet he can hear it. He now knows what he does to me everyday.

I was getting sick of the silence, but I was paralyzed. I was afraid to move. Suddenly he did it for me. His arms slowly made there way up my back. He pushed me towards him and he hugged me back so tightly as if it was going to be our last day together. He said no words as it was now his turn to bury his face into my shoulder. He was shaking. The poor vampire was shaking.

I couldn't hold back my tears of embarrassment. Not long after I felt drops of his tears on my neck. What on earth was he crying for? I didn't say anything because I refused to come off as rude, well that was what part of me said.
After staying like this for a couple more seconds, he began to stroke my hair and patting my head.

"Damn it." He chuckled. I nervously waited for what he was going to say. Was he going to tease me? was he going to make fun of me?

"I was kind of hoping I would be the one to say it first but you beat me to it."
