Chapter 5: preparing

After Yami vanished, I went to my second job. I came in really early, hours early.
"Why are you here?" My manager groaned.
"Uhm, I came here to work Karen's shift, and she'll do mine at night."
"Hmp. Okay."

I sat behind the counter, and the manager couldn't stop staring at me. I felt creeped out until i realized what I was wearing.
"Shit."
"Y/n you should stay in that maid outfit?"
"What? Why?"
"You're attracting customers."

"Woah look at her."
"What a babe!"
"Hey she works in that cafe right?"

This is going to be a very long day...

"Okay sir, ill be heading out now." I said as a reread the texts Seto sent me.
Seto Kaiba: Hey you exited?
Me: Yeah, ill be ready in about 1 hour or less
Seto Kaiba: Great, ill pick you up, tell me when you're ready.

"Whatever bitch."
I rolled my eyes and continued my way to my house, it was almost dark but it only gets dangerous when it's around 8 pm.
When I made it to my house safely I had a hard time figuring out what I should wear.
"Pink...blue..or red..."

"Definitely red." A deep voice spoke.
"Y-yami? How did you-"
"I have my ways." He said looking around.
"Have you been stalking me?"
"Uhm...noooo..."

"Are you hungry again?"
"Yep, get on the bed."
"Are you not going to say please?"
"Vampires don't say please." He glared.

I rolled my eyes and turned on the radio.
"Another person went missing at 4:34 pm, detectives are still working hard on this case as well as..."
"Jeez, was that you?" I sighed.
"Sorry I was hungry." He shrugged.
"Why do you want my blood now? Aren't you full?"

"Ehh...that women was unhealthy and her blood tasted horrible..."
"Oh you poor baby."
"I know...so tend to my needs."
"No, I have a date, and my bite is just starting to heal."
"Just put paint on it."
"Makeup?"
"Yeah whatever."

"I dont wear any."
"Huh? You don't? How are your eye lashes so long?"
"Can you go away?"
"I'm not leaving until I get what I want."
"Well then wait."

"ill have to do it by force then."
"What do you-HEY!"

He shoved me on the bed and pinned me down, i kicked my legs telling him to stop.
"NO! I HAVE A DATE SOON!"
"Who cares about that stupid guy." He smirks as he nips my neck.
"Ugh....." I relax under him, I'm still annoyed though.

"Here..how about i make it up to you..."
"What do you mean?"
He gives my neck a long, moist lick. He travels down to my shoulder, earning a gasp.
"H-hey! N-not there." I dug my nails into his shoulder.
He bit down, but not with his fangs.
"GAHhh..."

He sucked on my shoulder, I was wondering what he was doing until it went across my mind.
"You dick! Don't give me a fucking hickey!" I tried shoving him off of me but he just chuckled.
"Why not? I read into it, girls like it no?"
"Not me! Not all girls are the same you asshole."
"Oh...well now that I'm right here...Ill just.."

"AH..."

"Y/n you taste amazing..." He smiles and blushes. "How do you do that?"
"I hate you."
"No you don't."

I rolled us over since he wasn't using his super strength.
"Oh I see y/n, you're on top of me so that means-"
"No, I'm just getting away from you."

"Oh."
"Anyways, help me pick an outfit."
"Red is your color."
"Really think so?"
"Yeah, try it on, here let me do your hair."
"You know how to do hair?"

"My mother's taught me for when I was supposed to mate."
"Supposed to mate?"
"Yeah, my various fathers set me up with some random girl, she was kinda gross so I just left to the human world."

"Wait? Mother's and Father's?"
"I have a lot of them, I think. I'm not sure which one is my real biological parents."
"Is that normal?" I said as I put on my shoes.
"Very. The thing you told me about, love. My parents never shared it, my dad just wanted a son. And it was mating season so.."

"Mating season? When is that?"
"Oh god...like..in a couple of days, so ill have to force myself away from you during that time."
"Why? I'm a human are you-"
"My mother was human."

"...really?"
"Mhm..she was human.." Yami said as he worked on my hair. "My father had a thing for them."
"So you like both vampires and humans."
"Yep. I have to distance myself away from you, If I force myself onto you, then your emotions will change your blood, and you'll taste bad."
"How can emotions change blood?"

"Its very rare. Humans dont know a lot about it, and dont care. But I do."
"Quick question...how does blood taste like?"
"You should try your own. Its amazing.."
"Wait so emotions give different flavors..example?"
"Uh, when you're sad, it tastes like cold metal, when you're angry, it burns my tongue, when you're annoyed...oh god my favorite.."

"What if I'm normal."
"I don't know actually. You're never calm. Unless you'll let me take another sip right now-"
"No."
"Understood. I'm finished with your hair by the way."

"A bun? So simple-WOW. Yami a braided crown bun? How on earth did you-this is amazing!"
"I'm just trying to make you look your best tonight. I still don't know what a date is though."
"It's like a meeting with someone, eh hard to explain."
"You said something about falling in love, Ive heard of it."

"Yep." I say as I go in the closet.
"Why are you changing in there?"
"Because your a guy stupid."
"Uhm..huh?"

"Don't even come inside."
"Fine, but uhm, I think i have an idea on what you are planning to do."
"What's that?"
"So uh...are you going to mate with him?"
"Huh!?"
"Because if you're planning on it I won't let you."

"Why is that?" I chuckle as I play along.
"Because he doesn't deserve you."
