~:+ 💙 Blueberry's POV 💙 +:~
Dream, Cross, and I talked as we walked home through the forest. By that I mean I talked while they listened in silence. I wasn't going to complain.
Dream seemed to be taking it hard, but luckily I, the Magnificent Blue was there to comfort him. Though, Cross was the one to stay by Dream's side the whole time.
"When we get home, I'll make tacos for everyone!" I said, giving Dream and Cross a big smile.
They both nodded and we continued to walk. I looked back at Cross and Dream as they walked side by side. Dream was looking back over his shoulder as the trees parted, and we finally made it out of the forest.
"Are you thinking about Ink?" I inquired as I turned around, walking backward. Dream looked at me, nodding.
"Ink will be fine! He has Error to help him, and Ink seems open to him right now!" I spoke without thinking. Dream stopped suddenly looking away, as Cross visibly cringed at what I said. I was confused.
Did I say something wrong?
"Is something wrong Dream?" I asked, walking over to him. "Are you that worried about Ink?"
Dream looked at me with slight anger in his 'eyes.'
"Can you just shut up for once?! I'm always worried about Ink! Stop being an idiot?! Why are you so happy anyway?! Can't you see that bad things are happening?!" Dream yelled, sudden tears pricking his sockets. "Don't be so naive! Stop being so happy about it!"
I was taken aback by his sudden rage. He's the prince of positivity so he always seemed happy. I took a few steps back.
Cross stepped in front of Dream, blocking my view. They whispered to each other for a few seconds before Cross turned to me.
"Dream is upset right now, I think you should go," he said tentatively. I looked the other way and saw home in the distance.
"But Dream is my friend, we can solve the problem together!" I said, my voice fluctuating slightly.
"Just go away!" Dream shouted from behind Cross.
"Go home, we'll catch up," Cross said in a strict tone. I hesitated but listened.
I turned around and started walking home, hanging my head low. I didn't dare look back at Cross and Dream. As I coming up to the house I heard a shouted greeting up ahead.
"Hey Blue!" Dust shouted from afar, walking towards home with Horror. Many of Snowdin's inhabitants turned to look at him. I waved at them meekly.
I stared as Horror and Dust said something to each other before Horror walked towards Muffet's without Dust.
Dust walked towards me and I looked away, turning to the door.
"Hey," Dust greeted again. I gave him another wave, as I walked towards the door.
"What's the matter?" Dust said, standing in front of me. I looked at him and shook my head.
"Nothing, don't worry!" I gave him a smile.
"Then why are you crying?" Dust asked, furrowing his 'eyebrows.' I was confused and raised a hand to touch just below my eye socket. To my surprise, it was wet, meaning I really was crying.
"I... I-I," I started, but didn't finish my sentence, due to my own sudden sobbing.
~:+ 🌫 Dust's POV 🌫 +:~
I couldn't believe my 'eyes.' The positive bundle of joy, Blue, is having a breakdown right before my very 'eyes.'
"Woah, why so blue?" I said, giving him my arm for support. "Here, come inside and sit down."
We walked inside and passed Nightmare and Killer who were sitting together on one of the couches, watching TV. I would normally throw a snarky comment but it wasn't a good time.
I brought Blue to his room and made him sit on the bed.
"Alright, what's eating you?" I said, kneeling down in front of him.
"W-Well... A lot of stuff is happening," Blue murmured loud enough for me to hear.
"Care to explain? Does this have something to do with Ink being missing?" I asked. Blue nodded slowly, wiping a few tears off his cheek.
"Kinda... We found Ink and got his emotions back. He seemed upset with Dream because of a fight they had. He didn't want to talk to me either though," he said, pausing to take in a sharp breath. "Then on the way back home, I tried to lighten the mood by talking and stuff but Dream suddenly got mad at me."
Blue sniffled as a tear fell out of his socket. He looked me in the 'eyes' before quickly getting up and hugging me, bringing us both to the floor. I didn't know what to do so I just hugged back.
It hurt to see Blue like this.
"What did Dream say to you," I asked. Blue stopped hugging me and sighed.
"Well... he told me to be quiet and called me an idiot, and naive for being happy," Blue spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. "But he yelled it at me, and he's never yelled at me like that before."
"You aren't an idiot Blue, and you don't have to stop being happy. Your optimism makes you special. You always see the bright side of things," I said. I knew I was blushing. Blue is... special to me.
Blue seemed to cheer up a little. I could faintly see his cheeks turn a baby blue color.
"It's a miracle that someone like you is even talking to someone like me. I'm not a good person Blue," I said. "You know that right? I'm a murderer. I destroyed my entire AU."
"You may have done some bad things in the past, but that doesn't mean you can't change," Blue said. "If you were fully bad, you wouldn't have helped me. Oh also, thank you for helping me."
"You're welcome, Baby Blue," I said. The blue color on his cheeks darkened as I said that, making me chuckle.
"L-Lets go downstairs so I can make tacos for everyone!" Blue exclaimed as he scampered out of the room.
