The sun had gone down by the time Marianne had left the room. She began her journey to look for the suspicious boy. Who is this guy? A spider? Really? Marianne stopped in front of – what she now knew – was her room. She aggressively banged on the door several times. When there was no response, she swung the door open and marched in. The room had the same white walls, same grey furniture, same bathroom and closet, but no bay window. Much to her disadvantage, the room was also empty. Marianne let out a heavy sigh and turned to exit the room. Before leaving she walked over to the closet, opening the doors. She was disappointed when she saw the empty shelves. He has it.

Continuing her journey, she left the room and made her way down the stairs. They whined with each step she took, and she felt nervous that she would be caught, though she wasn't hiding anything. Downstairs, it was quiet. However, she could hear the others talking and laughing in one of the rooms. Yet, none of the voices belonged to Miles. Not wanting to disturb their fun, Marianne decided to look in the kitchen. The lights were on above the stove and the windows were cracked open. She could smell something burning. The door slammed open behind her.

Ricky ran in, and over to the stove. He opened the oven door with such force, Marianne was surprised it didn't go flying off its hinges. Retrieving what looked like a tray of very burnt cookies, he turned to Marianne, gesturing for her to move. She quickly stepped out of the way, mumbling a 'sorry', though he probably didn't hear it. Once the path was clear, Ricky carefully placed the tray on the counter behind her and turned to face the confused girl.

"Hi. Marianne, right?" Marianne nodded and turned her gaze towards the cookies. Ricky took notice of her shocked expression and quickly said, "I'm usually good at baking, I just got a little carried away during our game. It was a one-on-one with Brad and I was not ready to lose. I promise they don't always look like that." Marianne laughed.

"Don't worry. I'm sure they're.... enjoyable."  She relaxed a little when she realized Ricky was nothing but nice.

Ricky glanced at the bag in her hands. "What's in the bag? You don't have to tell me, I'm just curious."

"Oh, it's not my bag," She mumbled awkwardly. "Miles and I got our rooms mixed up. I am trying to return it to him, but I can't find him anywhere. Have you seen him?"

Ricky looked up and closed his eyes, trying to remember when he saw him last. "I think I saw him out on the porch." Marianne nodded and thanked him.
