Shepherd's Pie - EASY

Ingredients

· 1 - 1-1/ 2 lbs ground beef (or turkey or lamb or any meat of your choosing.)

· 1/4 bag of Frozen CHOPPED or DICED Onions (Or diced fresh onion)

· 1 full bag (a small-ish bag like 10 oz) of Frozen MIXED Veggies (usually go for corn, green bean, carrots, corn mixture)

· 1 or 2 PACKETS of Instant Mashed Potatoes -Any flavor you like (yes I'm lazy and a mom that has no time to boil and mash potatoes)

· 1/2 cup Beef Broth

· 4 TBLS of Butter 

· Dashes of Worcestershire Sauce. (about 1/2 TBLS if you need an exact amount)

· Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

First preheat oven to 400°F

1. MELT Butter in a large skillet over MEDIUM heat.

2. SAUTE Onions about 5 to 10 minutes.

3. ADD frozen veggies, mix. Cook for about a minute then ADD the meat. ADD Salt and Pepper and maybe ONE dash of Worcestershire here.

4. SAUTE until meat is no longer pink/raw.

5. ADD 1/2 cup beef broth. ADD remaining dashes of Worcestershire Sauce.

6. SIMMER uncovered over LOW Heat for 10 minutes.

7. MAKE Instant Mashed Potatoes in the microwave or a saucepan as instruction on packet direct. (shouldn't take more than 4-5 minutes either way)

8. PLACE cooked meat and veggie mix on the bottom of a baking pan porcelain or glass are the best). SPREAD EVENLY. ADD Mashed potatoes on top and also spread evenly over the meat. FLUFF it a bit with a fork.

9. BAKE in oven for 30 minutes. Then BROIL for a minute or two longer to lightly brown the fluffed potatoes. (WATCH WHEN BROILING. IT CAN BURN THINGS QUICKLY.)

10. REST for 5 minutes or so. It'll be hot. Serve with sliced baguettes and butter or another dinner roll.
