For the rest of the day, Elle stayed in the kitchen with the other girls. The guys all rested, wondering when Ira would let them go out on a job. It was obvious that Ira hadn't let some go on a job like usually because some needed to train Elle. Which was unheard of.
As Elle sits at the kitchen table, peeling potatoes, Ira's words haunt her. "In order to truly 'master' knives, you have to actually use the knife as a weapon." The blonde shivers at his words. In order to master knives, she'd have to stab someone or something. The thought of hurting another individual terrifies her.
"Can you teach me?" A voice brings Elle out of her own thoughts.
Elle turns to see a grinning Jaelynn. The blonde's face scrunches up in confusion.
"What did you just say?" Elle hopes what she heard was wrong.
"I said, Blondie," Jaelynn giggles, "Can you teach me? How to fight and be badass? It would be so cool!"
Jake's warning comes to Elle's mind at theta moment. How he would kill her without even flinching. Elle gulps and shakes her head at her friend.
"It's not cool." Elle tells Jaelynn softly, "It's dangerous."
"Which is awesome!" Jaelynn exclaims with big eyes, a huge grin on her freckled face.
Elle thinks of everything she has learned and all she has had to go through. The blonde shakes her head at her friend. Jaelynn gives her a confused look.
"You could get killed." Elle states, "And before you get killed, you'll be humiliated, tortured, shit in your pants because of the terror they fill you—"
"You must be weak then." Jaelynn giggles, "It can't be that bad."
The other girls all look between the two with mixed emotions. Elle scoffs.
"They woke me up in the middle of the night and stripped me down naked." Elle says coldly, trying to scare Jaelynn. "Then they dragged me into a tub of cold water, where they repeatedly tried to drown me. After that, they beat me up. Remember that? It's not cool! It's definitely not awesome! I have to train to save my own ass! My life is on the line here and I don't know if I'm going to live through the next step of my initiation!"
Jaelynn rolls her eyes, a smile sill on her lips. "Jake would protect me."
Elle shakes her head and begins to argue but Molly beats her to it.
Molly scoffs."You think you're special? That they wouldn't fillet your little ass? From what I hear, Elle's not even getting half of what the guys did during their initiation."
"Jake loves me." Jaelynn shakes her head at her friend, "He would never let them hurt me."
Molly lets out a loud scoff, making the girls jump. "Love? You think Jake loves you? Do you not realize what we are to them? To Ira? We're prisoners! Free prostitutes! Just free sex on legs."
The young brunette with blue eyes pouts her lip. "That's not true! Jake does love me."
"Did he tell you he loved you?" Molly says cockily, "Or did the sex go to your thick head?"
Jaelynn begins to cry. "Stop being a bitch!"
"These guys are Ira's hires men. They kill people for a living! And they like it!" Molly growls, "They don't love us, they fuck us! They fuck us cause they're animals! We're just pussy and titties to them!"
"Not all of us." Riley comments, her voice as cold as her sparkling blue eyes.
Molly bites her lip angrily. "You think Alex really gives a shit about you? He fucking murders people, Riley! Do you really want to love a man who kills innocent people for a living?"
Riley shakes her head. "Ira makes him do it."
"No!" Molly shouts at her, rising from her seat, "The men do it because they are all experts in what they do. You're shitting yourself if you think cruel monsters really know anything about love."
Jaelynn rises from her seat and runs out of the kitchen. Elle glares at Molly.
"Nice going, you Bitch." Elle rises up and walks out.
