'I forgot how good this type of weather was, remembering my last true experience with dreary rain and cloudy fog happening months ago--but here, it's like that almost every day. Though, the reasoning behind that could be because of this being in my head...meh'... I released my bag from my grip, glancing back at the miserable looking Cullen's with a small smile before deciding to pay attention to my 'friends'.

"Hey," 'Eric' smiled widely, "La Push, baby. You in?"

"Should I know what that means?" I played up my frown.

"La Push Beach down at the Quileute Rez. We're all going tomorrow," 'Mike' made clear.

"Yeah, there's a big swell coming in," 'Jessica' delved into further detail, seeming to have warmed up to my presence now 'Mike' wasn't constantly on my tail.

"And I don't just surf the internet," 'Eric' shot up from his seat.

"Eric, you stood up once, and it was a foam board," 'Jess' tried to shoot down his spirits.

"But there's Whale watching, too. Come with us," 'Angela' tugged at my heartstrings.

"La Push, baby. It's La Push," I chuckled with 'Eric's' description, biting a chunk from my breakfast bar.

"Okay, I'll go if you stop saying that, okay?" Laughter followed my agreement.

"Seriously, dude. It's creepy, Man," 'Mike's' voice trailed behind me as I made my way to the food bar, hoping to add to my lunch.

I trailed up and down the small stand, finding myself filling my bowl with some veggies, a little fruit--and a jumbo helping of coleslaw. 'What can I say, it's the tiny pleasures that matter(?)'--I reached the end, shuffling some baby corn aside as I debated on sating my hunger with an apple also--"Edible art?" the new voice, while not scaring me, did remind me that I'd forgotten about this conversation and force me to drop my apple with the detail. 'Edward' caught it without a problem, a smoldering misery in his look as it was offered to me, "Bella."

"Edward..." I stressed, accepting the fruit before turning with my lunch.

"--Wait--" my covered arm was caught, forcing me to glance back at him and hiss--holding my neck with the noise, "What? What's wrong?" he frowned, releasing me in an instant.

"Your mood swings are giving me whiplash(!)" I smirked at his look.

"Look, I only said it'd be better if we weren't friends, not that I didn't want to be."

"It's like your deliberately trying to confuse me--What, are you bored? Decided to try and play the mysterious danger guy to the new girl who hasn't got a clue?"

"No," he denied.

"Then what's your game?"

"...If you were smart, you'd stay away from me," he decided on.

"Well, let's say I'm a ditz--then would you tell me the truth?" I probed.

"No, probably not. Uhh..." he refused, "I'd rather hear your theories."

"On what? You? You want me to speculate over your existence?" I chuckled with his slight nod, "I think you're weird," I tilted my head to the side in thought, "Awfully broody, super pale...though you do have some really good hair," I couldn't stop myself from releasing a giggle with his smile, "What do you want me to say? That your some white knight waiting in the shadows, daring not to make friends as that would distract his mission of protecting others--Or how I can imagine you waiting in the wings with a cape at the ready?" I spewed garbage.
