A Day in the Life

Algebra was a hard class to sit through. Don't get me wrong, I love math, but that doesn't change the fact that it is VERY boring. When we were finally dismissed to go to our next class, I looked over to Kat who was asleep, and over to Leo who was trying to get her attention by throwing erasers at her head.

"Kat's a heavy sleeper" Ashley whispered in my ear. It scared me a little so I turned to the table behind me to talk to him.

"No kidding," I said in a slight giggle.

"So Ell, you know..." His sentence was interrupted by Leo

"Is someone going to wake her, or should I.." Leo gestured to the sleeping brunet

"I got this" I said getting up and shaking Kat awake, "I'll see you in English Ashley"

"Sounds good Ell"

"Tell Kat I'll see her in English, Ellie," Leo said as the two guys walked to their classes, "I still can't believe we all did not get the same teacher, but we all got english at the same time man."

"Odd I know" was the last thing I heard Ashley say before they disappeared into the hallway.

My attention goes back to Kat, "Come on Kat, it's time to wake up."

"I don't wanna"

"Come on, it's time for English", I tried shaking her and it got to the point where I was about to reach for my water bottle, when I saw her arrize from the dead.

'Can't it be wednesday?"
"I wish, but its two days away"

"God, how do students who don't go to boarding school do it?" Kat said while gathering her things and wiping the drool from her face then the desk.

"Well my sister goes to school for 7am-to 3pm Monday through friday, so and she has actual homework" I explained while we headed to the English hall, "... we don't get homework, we are just expected to do the class work that we did not finish" I shot her a look while pointing to the classroom that was slowly disappearing behind us.

"Don't remind me, what pages did we do from the textbook?" Kat said as she saw the boys at the end of the hall and waved at them.

"Pages 105 through 118, they aren't that hard, and they are due Friday"

"Alright that's doable by then, thanks"

"Sure thing"

We were quickly interrupted by Leo, "If it isn't Sleeping Beauty, have a nice nap?"

Kat looked like she was going to explode. "Shut up, that class is so boring"

"Haha true" Ashley chuckled as he came to stand by me. "Class is going to start soon we should probably get inside"
"He's right, we'll see you guys after English in the Science hall" waving by two of my other friends and walking into the classroom, I turn to Ashley. "Hey what was it that you were telling me earlier?"
"Oh, that.." He seemed to get nervous and a little flushed "I was wondering if you wanted to ummm, you know, go to the school's ball with me?"

Honestly that took me by surprise, I was not expecting him to ask.We have been friend for a while. "Oh, yeah, I'd love to"

"Really, great." Just then the bell rang and it was time to start English class.

The class went on and I was intrigued by the class, since we would be studying reading about the girl in the painting. It was a long story, but I am very excited to finally find out who she is, and why she is tied to this castle and our school. She looks so familiar and yet, I have no idea who she is, or why she looks familiar.
