Erik's POV
Waiting for school to end on was agony. All I could focus on was spending an entire two days with Charles. I was practically jumping as my mom drove over to Charles and Raven's home.
"Erik, calm yourself," Mama told me gently, she was smiling.
"Sorry Mama, I'm just excited."
Then we pulled up to their driveway to their house. Okay, house is a giant understatement. They lived in a fucking mansion. Both Mama and I's mouths were wide.
"Are you sure this is the right address?"
"Yes, ma'am. I double-checked." I knew the Xaviers were rich but damn.
Charles was standing by the gate smiling.
I got out of the car.
"Hello Charles, your house is wow."
he chuckled. "Thank you, I came by to open the gate for your mother and you. My mother is inside."
Nodding, I told Mama. Charles and I followed behind the car as mama drove down up to the mansion.
"Ready?" he asked, his British accent making it hard for me to focus on what he said.
"Yep,"
The three of us walked in.
Sitting on a tiny uncomfortable looking couch in the entryway was an older blonde woman. She sat straight, wearing an expensive dress and hat. She had tight blonde curls and a dazy looking gaze. Sat next to her was a black-haired, stern-looking man in an equally rich looking suit. This had to be Charles' mother and stepfather.
"Mother, Stepfather. This is Mrs. Lensherr and my friend Erik," Charles introduced us.
"Pleased to meet you," his mother said with a thick British accent.
"We have heard a lot of good things about you Erik," his stepfather said.
Our parents shook hands and talked for a bit. Mama was uncomfortable at first but relaxed as they took more. After a half-hour, she left, and us boys ran upstairs to his room.
Unsurprisingly, Charles' room was full of books, academic awards, and pictures of famous scientists. He had some family portraits, some of his friends, and even a picture of me next to our robot. I smiled looking around.
"What?" he asked confused, he looked so beautiful. Man, I needed a cold shower, he is my best friend I shouldn't think like that.
"Your room is just so incredibly you," I replied lamely.

We watched movies in the entertainment room, basically, it was where the kids would go when the adults didn't want to deal with them. So all the time. I found that horribly sad, but said nothing as we watched Crimson Peak.
"Why is his sister weirdly jealous of his wife?" I asked, concerned. He said nothing but paused the movie since it was dinner time.
~~~
Dinner was hell. like it literally hell.
The food was amazing, I like mama's cooking better though, but the air was thick with tension.
I sat next to Charles, who was next to Raven. Emma and Angel were on her other side. On the other end of the table sat Sharon and Kurt( raven and Charles' parents). Cain sat somewhere in between.
He kept glaring at Charles, making Charles flinch. We ate silently, only a few comments made the entire time.
Us children took dessert upstairs and ate in the entertainment room. It was still a bit uncomfortable with Cain around, but we all talked. Well almost all, Cain and Charles were silent for the most part. Cain looked pissed, and Charles looked a little scared. As soon as I was done eating Charles practically dragged me from the room.
"Charles?" I asked once we left the room.
"I'm so sorry Erik, I just can't stand being around Cain longer than I have to."
"It's okay, what you wanna do now?"
"Do you know how to play chess?"
A big sharklike smile began to form on my face.
"I love it."
"let's do that then."
We went back to his room and grabbed his chess set. He placed it carefully on the bed and he played as the white pieces.
"I'll go easy on you," I say confidently
"Cocky much" He laughed.
"Very." He made the first move.
