A LETTER FROM ME TO YOU (JENLISA)

*JENNIE*

Lisa called my name,
Her deep tone claimed my attention, as I look up she was genuinely smiling, her doe eyes glowed in an inexplicable way, excitement radiates within her, and then she spoke;

"I want you to meet someone."

My pulse throbbed all of a sudden as curiosity arise at the back of my head.
That night she already informed me that I'll be meeting someone, for a second, I thought it'll be for that evening but then she told me she want it to be held this coming weekend and would like me to be prepared.

Monday.

Everytime she would pick me up from the work, questions were present for a while. I kept on asking Lisa about this certain person that I'll be meeting, but as always she kept on telling me that it's a secret that I have to find out for myself. Each day had passed and it was the same response.

Friday night

After work, I always wait outside the company building, anticipating the soldier to arrive with a big grin plastered on her face, her wide arms that awaits me, providing the warm embrace that seemed to be my sole necessity, my safe haven, and my home. Cold breeze of wind made my skin shiver, I took a glimpse of my phone to check the time, she's late. I wonder what happened.
Suddenly, a large hand caught my shoulder, my body flinched with the sudden contact while slowly realizing it was the soldier with her never ending pranks again. Turning around, my smile broke down, fading as the person in front of me showed a man, his tall figure hovered the view of the company building.

"It's late, why are you still here?" Mino asked, his warm and kind smile welcomed me.

"I- was waiting for someone." I muttered. looking away and roamed my eyes around the road only to find out that the soldier's still absent at the moment.

"Are you sure? I can offer you a ride of you--"

"I'm good, Mino. You don't have to. I'm sure Lisa's on her way now." I said.
Mino creased his forehead.

"Lisa?" He asked and I nodded.

"The soldier? Wait. Are you and her..." His voice slowly turned into a whisper.

"If you're thinking about us dating each other, yes. Lisa and me are dating."
Mino's eye grew wide, his eyebrows raising, astounded by my answer.

"That's-- Jennie.. are you sure about her?" He uttered, now it was me with a furrowed eyebrows.

"What are you implying Mino?" I asked, puzzled by his question.
He then brought his hand to my left shoulder, sighing heavily as he shifted his gaze in mine.

"You know her history with her previous wife. What if she do the same with you? I don't want to see you getting brokenhearted with some prick."

My face frowned, disappointed from what he's saying. I took Mino's wrist off of my shoulder. "I can't believe I dated someone like you." With that, I left him isolated on his own shadow.
Chaeyoung and Lisa's relationship, the misunderstandings between them lead to an unforeseeable halt. A mistake that both of them regretted, later on turned to be the right thing for the two of them to meet their destined partner as if it was bound to happen.

Sunday Morning.

A memory of Jennie and Mino that night flashed within my thoughts.
Parking the car on the parking lot, Jennie seemed to be oblivious by my arrival beside the company building. From afar, she was talking with some guy. Peering intently, I noticed it was her ex boyfriend Mino. Casually talking with each other. My chest pounded with fear, afraid of whatever they are conversing about. My hand tightly gripped the steering wheel, continuously observing the two. Mino then held Jennie's shoulder, I sucked for an air, waiting for them to finish the talk already.
