So it has been revealed that Namjoon and Jin are actually reincarnations. The reason mainly because their souls have unfinished business.
Events like this actually happen in K-DRAMAS you get the drift.
Yoongi revealed in his vision that the cursed fisherman in the past was actually reborn as Namjoon. Yoongi never got to be reborn because he never died.
( I guess, it is confirmed that Yoongi is actually Namjoon's right-hand man who turned into an immortal prophet.)
And the Mermaid (Sea-nymph) who fell in love with the fisherman but cursed him was reborn in another life as Jin.
Now we know that Yoongi's predictions of the future change too. Yoongi told Jimin that fate never changes and shouldn't be tampered with.
The reason for this is because if Yoongi tampered with it the consequences were even bigger, so Yoongi tries his best not to challenge fate but makes an exception when Jin's life was in danger. (When he described saving Jin as a "risk" or a "gamble" )
