Chapter 4:Discovery

"P-pervert?! What are you talking about?! " Namjoon said sitting on the sand.

Jin looked at himself. Because of the glowing water he also illuminated. He turned to the raging waves and noticed the glowing sea.

"What is this glowing stuff? It's all over me!" Jin questioned squeezing his shirt.

Jin stood up quickly fixing his wet hair. He noticed Namjoon was looking at him confused about the whole situation.

He pulls Namjoon by the collar causing the man to flinch.

"What the hell! " the witted man said in shock.

"Where is my boat?" in an irate manner Jin asked.

"Ok-ok calm down! There is no boat!" Namjoon replied as truthfully as he can.

"No...Boat? That can't be right" Jin said recalling what had happened a while ago before he passed out.

" There was this big wave and- and it knocked me out and I drowned. There was this voice telling me some weird stuff too."

" Umm, hello? Hello? I'm still here you know." Namjoon said interrupting Jin's thoughts.

Jin looked at him all confused. Namjoon couldn't understand what happened to him, but he certainly looks puzzled. Namjoon pats the sand off of his lab coat.

" Oh no! My stuff! It was also in that boat!" The tall man exclaimed holding his head freaking out.

" Why are you here?" Namjoon asked.

" I'm trying to escape that's what it is!"

Namjoon was shocked. Escape? What was he on about? Is he some kind of fugitive who is escaping from authorities? He slowly readied his hand unto his smartphone enabling him to call the police at any moment Jin tries to hurt him.

In the meantime, Jin was busy freaking out about his lost things. He certainly didn't look like a threat at all. Rather, he looked more like a freaked out alpaca.

"NO! Ugh!" Jin frustratingly kneeled into the glowing shore. " Whhhy??" Jin wailed.

Namjoon sighed and let go of his phone. The nameless man didn't look so criminal like.

As Jin was having the worst time of his life he heard a small snicker in the distance.

"Pfft... Hahahahahaha!"

Jin turned around. It was Namjoon laughing at him for crying like a child who wet his pants.

"W-why are you laughing?!" Jin sniffled.

"Because of you moron! You almost died and now you're just crying because you lost your stuff haha haha" Namjoon pointed out.

" You know I would have been happy to be alive after drowning, but you! You're insane!" Namjoon held his stomach while he laughed some more.

Jin looked at him pissed.

" Who are you to say that? I have it hard too! I just escaped from some stupid family affair that will ruin my life, and to top it all off a nerdy-looking stickman supervillain like you laughed at me!"Jin complained rambling.

"Hey! Listen up you dick head! I'm an Oceanographer, not a supervillain! At least I don't cry about my lost underwear!"

"You take that back!"

"Make me!"

"Well then come here and show me!"

Namjoon threw his phone into the sand behind him.

Namjoon's head was about to explode, he didn't think much about Jin's badmouth but he certainly hated Jin's bad attitude.

"Yaaaaahhh!" He ran into the latter and tackled him into the water. The two boys fought each other senseless like children.

It didn't take long before Namjoon and Jin became exhausted. They were both panting and sitting on the beach splashing water at each other with strained arms.

" Hah.. You're tired aren't you? Oceanologist?"

" Its Oceanographer... Hah...You're tired too you imbecile! Ahh, I give up!" Namjoon panted.

"Enough of this! I'm just going to figure out where I am by myself!" Jin stood up from the water. "At least tell me your name first Ocean-doctor or whatever you call that."

"Kim Namjoon, and I am this city's Oceanographer. I study the waters here." Namjoon replied grumpily.

"I'm Kim Seokjin, but I'm certainly not related to the likes of you," Jin said while walking off and leaving Namjoon in the water. "Oh and I'm jobless, I'm too handsome to work."

"Stupid family, stupid boat! Now I encounter him?! What kind of stupid luck is this?!" Jin murmured while walking off barefoot.

"If I can't live to be something else than a fisherman, then I'll just have to focus on becoming a handsome young hobo for now!"

Jin sneezed from the cold waters, he covers himself with his arms shivering.

"Crap now I'm also going to get a cold."

"God, now my coats wet! Damn it!" Namjoon said to himself. He looks at the tall man in the distance. "That's right! Leave! I wasn't going to help you anyway!" he added.

"Must be the lack of oxygen in his head, that's why he was freaking out." Namjoon wondered.

"Yeah well, why don't you go and take a shit on it to dry it off?" He shouted back.

Before Jin could finally leave the beach chuckling to his insult, he felt a sort of limping. His legs don't feel quite stable as it used to be. He stopped laughing.

"Must be the heels from earlier. Jisoo could have given me flats instead, that little brat!" Jin said while going off. But his feet couldn't support his weight anymore, he plunges to the sand falling to his side.

"W-what?"

"Hah! What of it now? You just tripped from exhaustion doofus!" Namjoon said while walking closer to Jin who had fallen.

"W-what is this?" Jin felt strange like his pants were ripping open. His feet were looking awfully different, he gasped at what he just saw.

"Guess you aren't such a big strong man like you tried to act earlier, huh?" Namjoon grinned mocking the immobilized man.

Jin's eyes opened wide.

When Namjoon came a little closer he noticed, Jin wasn't saying anything back but he was wriggling about.

"I-Is he having a seizure?" Namjoon thought worried.

"M-my legs!" Jin screamed in fear.

"Oh my God, what the actual fuck is that!?" Namjoon said while pointing to Jin's lower half.

Namjoon fell back into the sand in shock.

"Y-you're a merman!?"
