Chapter 15: Pick Up

"Namjoon, you're supposed to pick me up by now" Jin mumbled frustrated.

Jin stared at the road for what felt like an eternity. Namjoon would always pick him up but this time he didn't show.

Jin ended up squatting outside. He hears a car driving close. Jin was about to smile, but it disappeared when he had realized it wasn't actually Namjoon's car.

The car proceeded to drive away as thunder roared.

"Maybe he had to pick up some stuff? He isn't actually going to ditch me right?" Jin continued to squat and wait.

A car stops outside with it's headlights flashing bright almost blinding Jin.

Jin evades the rays of the light with his arms.

"Jin? What are you still doing here? Isn't Joonie supposed to pick you up?"
The man asked.

The rain kept pouring.

"Hoseok?" Jin squinted.

Hoseok chuckled at the boy holding an umbrella. Jin stood up grabbing his duffle bag.

"Yeah, it's me. Did that asshole take a nap or something?" Hoseok asked jokingly.

" I don't know, but he's late." Jin replied pouting.

"Well, someones going to get in trouble  tonight."

Theres a slight ringing that's appearing in Jin's ear. He looks to his sides and makes a confused expression.

"D-did you hear that?" Jin asked Hoseok.

"What? Hear what?" Hoseok tilted his head and looks at where Jin was looking.

"Fear not"

" No, not again..." Jin tries to shake himself awake.

"Fear not... Swim into the ocean..."

"Are you okay?" Hoseok asked the merman, but he isn't responding anymore.

Rather, he looks like he isn't going to talk at all. He's in a hypnotic state and his eyes were blank.

"Jin?"  Hoseok looked at his face. It was expressionless and unresponsive.

Without any word, Jin drops his duffle bag and walks to the beach.

" Jin? W-wait!" Hoseok didn't know what he was up to, but it looks like he isn't moving like himself.

Hoseok grabs his phone and calls Namjoon. Something was off.

" Hello? Hoseok?"

" Joonie! Thank God you picked up, I'm at the Haenyeo's place where Jin works at. How come you haven't picked him up?! "

Hoseok hears a slight static on the phone.

For the mean time while Namjoon was driving in a dangerous speed, Jimin was holding the phone for him while it was on loudspeaker for everyone to hear.

" I-is Hyung okay? " Jungkook asked in the backseat.

" I-Is he still there? " Namjoon asked while he panted heavily.
