ULTIMA 162: The Beginning (Halo FanBased)

Chater Three

Shortly after we landed, Beta was still hanging onto me, she was shaking from the landing. Omega groaned as he lifted his person up from the pod.

"Omega, are you okay?" I asked as I started to glance around the surrounding area.

I heard a yes as he gotten up to sit down, maybe this was a GOOD thing than being sent to Out Post Nine. I needed some way to communicate with Night Fury squadron, I need to let them know that they were next on the list be killed or imprisoned, but the radio on the pods were damaged.

"Omega, can you get the radio running? I need to get ahold of Alpha 016, to let him know that our barge was attacked, and to see if he can get us off this... planet." I wasn't sure where on this planet, or that it had any water for Beta to drink from.

Omega glanced up at me and told me that it'll be awhile but he can do it. I glanced down at Beta to see sweat pouring down her forehead, she was hot to the touch. I ripped some of my shirt off as I used it to clean her shaven head. This was the first time that I seen Beta getting sick.

'Ultima, I do believe she is getting worse.' Alpha-Omega told me.

I simply nodded as he and Epsolon were talking about where all five of us were. I knew Epsolon was female, but I didn't take a chance of calling it a girl. I told Beta to rest in the pod, I have to make a bed these leaves. Something flew by my head, some of my hair was cut off, I seen someone on the the large tree dressed in an odd clothing. I looked back at the tree to see some sort of knife planted into the tree.

"Omega! Grab Beta and run for it!" I shouted as I seen him run for Beta to take her into safety from the assailants.

I looked at the person again. He had blonde hair, spiked where gravity defied it to let it fall. I went to grab the knife from the tree, I need to distract this one from harming Beta and Omega. He jumped down from the tree as I looked at him closer, he was no older than I was.

'I do believe that he is a native to this world.' I heard my A.I in my head. 'I cannot gain a reading from his vital signs, maybe this planet had not yet to be discovered by the Organization.'

I nodded as I looked up him again as he did some strange hand signs, what I didn't expect was the earth come straight at me. With all my training with Spartan One, I leapvout of the way I seen two more people running towards Omega and Beta.

"Alpha-Omega, tell Epsolon to alert Omega. Now!"

The man cocked his head to one side to see if I was crazy that I was talking to myself. I looked at the flying earth chunks competing at me. I took the knife and bit down on it. I charged at the man as he vanished in a puff of smoke.

"Not very smart this one." I heard the blond speaking to a younger boy that had silver hair.

'I am a translator. Thank me later Ultima.' I heard my A.I speak to me.

I glanced at the two, I wonder what would be their fate, or mine. Funny is, I never believed in fate. They both came at me, I fought Elites, brutes, and rebellious groups, I pulled out the knife and looked at them. They came at me rather fast, I blocked the the fist attacks, and I tackled the silver haired boy and ready to strike at his throat when I heard Beta scream. I got off the boy and ran towards Omega and Beta, I needed to know if they were okay.

"Omega! Beta!" I yelled as I seen Beta on the ground with the same knife dug into her side.

Omega was on the ground with a boy with some sort of goggles on his face on top of him with a knife pointed at the back side. I didn't feel this type of this pain, Alpha-Omega seen this, he kept telling me not to get anger to take over. The world around me went dark as I fell. Beta was dying, Omega and I couldn't do anything.

When I woke up, I seen a dark rocky ceiling above me. 'Ultima. We lost Beta.' I heard my A.I said to me.

I felt tears coming to my eyes. I never thought that Beta would die. she was stronger, faster, and almost invincible in my point of view. I asked if Omega was okay. I needed to know he was, and my A.I told me that he is. I heard foot steps coming down a large hallway, the person stopped in front of my cell. I glanced up to see a large build body, almost like an Elite with more human than Alien.

"Why were you out in the forest surrounding our village." I heard him say.

I was silent, I knew better to say anything to the captors. I heard him sigh and looked over to Omega, he was out cold. I can tell that this was going to be a long time. Longer to make a communicate call to Night Fury.
