Oooh ooh. Lalala. Oooh ooh. Lalala;

*what is that?*

run ,kid, clean and crisp. Ball and chain, will for risk. No fair-nor foe, come on down...we shall fall.

*this is something.... Old? Wait, I've heard this chant-er song before..?"

Oooh ooh. Lalala. Oooh ooh. Lalala;

"Hello?" I opened my eyes to see where that melody was coming from. It was a dark room, lit by faint sun rays seeping through the boarded up windows. How did I get here? My thoughts snapped closed when the tune started to play again.

Fire' an lies, shadows drop. Angels hide, none can stop. Mirrors mirrors, seared and cracked. Come now ,kid, cloaked in black.

"I don't know what you mean!"I tried getting up but I was tied to a chair, my legs and arms held down my, what seems like an invisible rope.

Oooh ooh. Lalala. Oooh ooh. Lalala.

"So.... Am I-?"

"SILENCE! Ï raëws fï Ï ev'äh öt tüc roüy thö'um tuö Ï l'lïw-!!!"

"Hold up scary voice dude! I did not just faint IN FRONT of a really cool crush of mine to be shushed and lectured by an INCOMPETENT,
INSUFFICIENT,
LISTENING-IMPAIRED,
faceless, booming, coward who's too shy to show me their-probably ugly- face!"

Silence followed my little outrage, and it became more or less awkward... "So why the heck am I here then?" I asked the annoying voice.

"You called me a coward for not showing you my face, huh?"

"Well, that was a statement, true... But I asked-"

"I KNOW WHAT YOU ASKED!" The sudden outburst startled me. Geez, this person doesn't need to yell....

"So-?"

"Do you want to see me face ,human? Are you prepared to be-!" I cut him off right there..

"Well if you're going to take so long then, you know what? Don't even bother because it's not like-"

I stopped short when I peered in front of me. I felt my heartbeat quicken and my hands start to shake, sweat, and tremble in fear. As I studied the stranger's newly showed face, I felt all the horrifying dreams enter the front of my brain.

It was him.

He seemed to know that I recognized him almost instantly because he put on that same horrifying smile, as shown in my dream, and crept closer. The closer he walked, the bigger that hideous grin got. His smoke-like trail slithering close behind him. He wasn't purely smoke like my dream, but he isn't fully solid as an actual being. It was a grey zone.... a scary one at that.

As he neared the 2 feet-away-mark from the chair I was sitting in, he stopped. His grin reaching from ear to ear-squishing his pitch black eye sockets to a morphed oval- he opened his mouth and let out that high pitched scream.

I couldn't cover my ears and I couldn't block out the noise. My gosh! What's this guy's lung capacity!? He took a step back and admired my pained look, that twisted swine.

I let out a groan.
"Well I'm not shocked you didn't scream this time. However, your scream from when you were 13 gave me pride at my skills to terrorize you." This faceless monster said.

"What am I doing here? What do you want?!" I tried my best to scream at him, but it only came out Ina strangled voice. I internally hit myself for being so weak.

"I told you that I'd find you, and that I'd take your light."
His words jogged that terrifying memory. Dread filled every crevice of my body.

"Now now, we don't want to do this without an audience right?"

What?

"Nash, would you please come out now?" He turned his head towards an empty dark corner of the room.

What the heck.
