Lover

For every one you killed, three more seemed to appear. You pulled your blade out of the Resistance fighter's chest just in time to kill the next. But you were getting tired, and they were everywhere.

"I don't know how much longer I can keep this up," you yelled out, hoping Kylo was in the vicinity of hearing you. You'd lost track of him sometime during the ambush. Apparently, the First Order poking around for information didn't sit well with the Resistance.

Dodging a few lasers with the Force, you managed to get close enough to throw your blade in the heart of your shooter. Since you didn't have a lightsaber yet, you had to be resourceful in your choice of weapon.

You snatched back the blade and tucked it in your waistband as you commandeered the soldier's blaster. Now being able to kill long range, you managed to kill the remaining soldiers. A feeling of safety washed over you as you attempted to catch you breath.

You were beginning to feel light headed when you heard footsteps behind you. You'd wondered where Kylo had gone. You turned to face him only to find a sole survivor aiming her blaster at you.

"On the ground!" she commanded. Black fuzzies were filling your vision making it hard to focus. You hesitantly obliged knowing full well that you were too weak to fight back. You had overexerted yourself and now you were paying for it.

"I've got her. I've got his lover," you heard her say into some sort of com system. She stood over you, not once daring to pull her eyes away. Adrenaline finally registering the gravity of the situation, your mind began searching for ways of survival.

Before you could process a way out, you watched the life leave her eyes as a red saber entered her heart. You rolled out from underneath just before her limp body fell to the ground.

"I was beginning to wonder where you went," you uttered in a snarky tone. You knew it'd piss him off, but it serves him right for leaving you to fend for yourself.

"I was busy finding us a way out of here," he sneered, anger boiling in his voice. You began to roll your eyes at him when you felt a gloved hand wrap around your throat.

"You'd be smart to watch your tone with me." He maintained harsh eye contact just long enough to instill fear. His claw released your throat, replacing it with your hand. He began dragging you through winding corridors to what would hopefully be an exit strategy.

After weeks of dead ends, you'd managed to find a high end collector selling old Senate texts. There was rumored to be some mention of an Obi-Wan Kenobi in them. But that's about all you'd come know.

The whole deal ended up being a set up from the Resistance. Guess there's not much a price won't buy these days, even for dark side dealers. You'd think his reputation would've been more important. Guess not.

It ended up being their loss though, you'd caught onto their real intentions before they got the chance to make a move. Today was just even more proof that the First Order didn't need to hide behind an army to feel superior.

You and Kylo alone took out most of their troops. Now, it was just a matter of finding safe passage out before another Resistance fleet deployed.

Kylo continued pulling you up flights and flights of stairs to find refuge. You now knew where he was taking you. On your way to make the exchange, you had passed a private transport. You felt proud of yourself as you put the two and two together.

Sounds of the next fleet arriving began filling the corridors. Both of you sprinted as fast as you could. You boarded the ship as Kylo made his way over to the controls.

Damn it was hot that he knew how to fly.

You saw him smirk as you realized you weren't controlling your thoughts anymore. Shit! But there was no time to be embarrassed with the Resistance on your heels. You finished closing the hatch and joined Kylo in the cockpit.

"Buckle up, this is gonna be a bumpy ride," he mischievously grinned. You were part excited and part terrified. Though you had to admit, you liked seeing this pilot side of Kylo. Almost like it was in his blood.

As you took off, you couldn't keep your mind off of what the Resistance soldier had said.

"I've got her. I've got his lover."
