Backstory: Jughead finds Betty cheating on him with Archie and breaks up with her. Betty leaves Riverdale and drinks everyday. A few years later they meet again after Betty saw the news about the murder of Reggie Mantle. She stays at a motel as Jughead still stays in the Cooper/Jones home. Then Jughead finds Betty drinking in the White Wyrm.

Betty grabbed her backpack and ran to the train station. She felt sick to her stomach. Tears streamed down her eyes as she choked back a sob. Her nails pierced her palms like the needles in her heart. She hated her self. The thought of Jughead crying in front of her stuck in her mind as she rested her head on the dirty chair. She loves him. She hates herself for kissing Archie back in the music room.
Finally the train pulled to a stop after what felt like hours. She found herself at a random bar across the street and asked for the strongest thing they had. She took a swig and felt the stinging from the alcohol. She then took another. And another. Until she couldn't stop.
Back in Riverdale:
"Betty please come down for dinner!" Jellybean yelled. There was no answer. Jellybean knocked on her door. There was silence.
"Dad where is Betty?" Jellybean yelled. FP rushed over to her and opened the door with a key.
Inside, there was a note, wet, and handwritten by Betty Cooper.
If you are reading this, please do not show Jughead. I did something horrid and broke his heart. Tell him to forget about me and make him happy. Please. And tell Alice I love her and she has been the best parent to me ever. Make her happy too. I gave Jughead my spot in Yale. he deserves it more than I do. He has a future and it needs to be without me. Thanks.

"Guys the food is getting cold what is talking so long?" Alice walked in to the room and took the note from FP. "What is thi-" Alice stopped talking and a tear escaped from her eye. She rushed to Betty's closet to find most of her clothes gone. She looked everywhere and found nothing.
"N-no, not my baby. No no no please no" Alice sobbed. She slowly sank to the ground and FP caught her in his grasp. The couple sat on the ground hugging each others embrace as Jellybean rubbed her back.
Jughead entered the home hearing cries from upstairs. He rushed up to see Alice sobbing as FP and Jellybean comforted her. He stood there confused and just stared at them.
"What the hell happened?"
End of flashback....
Five years later....
"Breaking News! Local resident from Riverdale murdered in his home. Reggie Mantle was only twenty two when...." the words echoed out of Betty's ear. Reggie Mantle? From Riverdale? Betty sat in the motel confused and felt pain her her chest. She took a swig from her bottle and threw it with the other empty bottles. She stumbled out of her room and went to the train station.
"One ticket to Riverdale please" Betty slurred. The women was hesitant, but gave her the ticket. She sat on the train and looked out the window. In her head she made sure to stay away from Jughead, Archie, Veronica, mostly everyone. Her thoughts soon faded as she fell into a deep slumber.
