You looked out at the breathtaking view of the ocean from your balcony. You could see the canopy and flowers and everything else being set up for your wedding. You took in a deep breath of the crisp ocean air, attempting to calm all the butterflies fluttering around in your stomach. Today, you'd be marrying the love of your life and the man of your dreams. In a few hours, you would officially become Mrs. Kim Taehyung. You couldn't help but smile at the thought as you sat down and picked up your phone sitting on the little table beside to you to go over the wedding vows you had been writing over the past few days. You wanted to make sure they were perfect and that you'd said everything you needed and wanted to say to your husband-to-be. You were also determined to commit them to your memory so you wouldn't have to read them from your phone during the ceremony.
You knew Tae would have his memorized because he was always so good at remembering and reciting speeches and things like that. You giggled to yourself as you thought about how much he probably practiced for his beautiful proposal speech only a week prior.
Just then, your phone rang interrupting your thoughts as you watched your fiancé's handsome face appear on the screen. You answered and covered your face quickly...
"Tae, what are you doing?! We're not supposed to see each other before the wedding."
"Well, I miss you, babe," Tae whined. "You're lucky I didn't sneak into our room last night."
"You're gonna see me in just a couple hours, babe, and speaking of last night... I hope you were on your best behavior."
"Of course I was... but only because I couldn't be with you."
"Mm hmm... well you know I'll find out if you weren't. You know Jimin will happily tell me everything," you laughed before continuing. "Now I have to go, babe. I know it's not considered bad luck to see each other before the wedding in Korea, but it's a big deal in western tradition.
"Okay fine... but I can't believe you're gonna be my wife in a few hours. Just thinking about that has me beyond excited, so I need to warn you right now that it's gonna be ON later."
"Oh my God, goodbye Tae! I'm hanging up on you!" You giggled as you peaked at him through your fingers."I love you, and I can't wait to see you walk down the aisle today."
"I love you more, and I can't wait to see you at the end of the aisle waiting for me."
"Aww..." Tae blushed. "Okay, bye, baby girl."
"Bye, babe."
He's so silly. I love him so much. I can't wait to marry him in a few hours.
You got up and headed back into your room to start getting ready. You walked over to where your dress was hanging, admiring it for a moment.
Elegant, but simple... just like my ring. I really hope Tae loves it, although, he'll probably only care about taking it off anyway. You blushed as you thought about that on your way to the shower, letting out an audible sigh.
