9:47am

i shed a tear as my family pulled out the driveway for the very last time.

all 16 years of my life, i've done everything in this house. i'm really gonna miss it. we've been planning the move for about 6 months and we've finally got what we needed. a new spot to go to and someone to reside in what used to be my home. so, let me mentally prepare myself for the 5 hour drive from here in new york, to canada. they definitely do things different there, i wont fit in. i know it.

joseph's pov

not gonna lie, i'm gonna miss this place. but i ain't even trippin' because i can start my adult life in canada, yanno? i look over and see my sister looking hella depressed. so, i text her.

her face lit up so, i know i had done my job as a big brother. it's about 10 in the morning, so i'm gonna get in my sleep that i missed.

3:21pm

"yall, get up and get your passports out," my ma says from the front seat. i look over at my little sister and she looks like she's been awake for a while now. i look out the window and see a bridge and toll stop ahead of me.

destiny's pov

seeing all this scenery has made me really happy honestly. i don't feel anywhere close to where i did when we left.

4:40pm

"wow," i say as i step out of joseph's truck, "it's gorgeous."

i walk around my pre-furnished house in awe, it's gorgeous. after stumbling down stairs and tearing up at the sight of such beauty, i go to the place i need the most. my room.

i'm absolutely obsessed. but as i look out my room window, i can see a girl dancing in her yard with a little boy who i assume is their brother. she looks about my age. that caused my mind starts to think happy thoughts. living in ottawa definitely isn't as bad as i thought.
