i'm very aware that not all the grammar is correct. it's done on purpose to display the actual way each character talks <3
destiny's pov
8:57am
the first night at our new place was amazing. everything was so comfortable. i get up out of my bed, walk to my bathroom mirror and pull the suction toothbrush holder off of it.
"come and eat," my mama calls from downstairs.
so, i finish brushing my teeth and go down.
"good morning family," she said while handing me and my brother our plates, "i have to contact the school board to get y'all in there. and your daddy is taking you shopping so y'all go ahead and eat. i would take you but i have my interview at the university so i don't have much time."
"why we can't go later so you can go wit us?" joseph asks.
"because, it's gonna get packed. everybody excited so everybody gonna be out. i need y'all home and safe with me," our mama explains.
"then, let's online shop," i chime in.
"you'll be in school by the time your clothes get here, why wait?"
"ouu boy, i cant wait to get back in that school house. finishing my senior year in ottawa, who you know do that?" my brother says smirking.
me and my mama laugh
"well good luck mama, with the interview," i say to her getting up out of my seat.
"thank you baby," she says kissing my forehead and i go upstairs.
i go in my closet and pick out the first thing i see.

then, i sit on my bed and wait till everybody else is ready
15 minutes later
"grand rising destiny," my dad says, "go crank up the car. i see you're dressed so your mama must have already told you where we're going. that's not all though."
"good morning anddd okay."
i grab my shoes, walk down stairs and put them on at the door. when i go outdoors, i see girl from yesterday. she waves, i wave back.
jayden's pov
i see the girl that moved in yesterday. she's super pretty and looks friendly. i'm always looking for new friends, so i build the courage to get up and make my way over to her.
"hi," i say. and the girl jumps.
"shit. hi," she says and chuckles.
"welcome to the neighborhood, your car is super pretty."
"thank you so much, and the car is my brothers actually. nice to meet you, i'm destiny," she says and reaches out her hand.
"i'm jayden." i move her hand out of the way and hug her instead.
"aww," destiny says letting go after a couple of seconds. "so, i have to ask, do you go to woodroffe?"
"yeah, it's mandatory unless you wanna go to a catholic school and those aren't the best around here," i say.
"what about bell?" destiny asks.
"it's basically where kids transfer to when woodroffe becomes an issue. money wise, socially, all that good stuff. and some go because it's closer to home."
as i'm talking, i see a tall, chocolate boy walk out of her house.
"destiny, c'mon," he says. and throws a hand up to me.
"okay!" destiny yells, "nice to meet you, i'm about to go shopping with my dad and brother."
"that's your brother?" i ask with a smile.
"yes." destiny looks at her brother then back at me and laughs. "i'll see you girls later."
