i sit down with them and start up a conversation. while we're talking, i notice mariano's hand is slowly coming closer to my thigh. so, i take his hand and put it on my thigh myself. he looks over at me in my eyes and my vision is kind of blurry but i manage to see exactly what he's doing.
"you know what bro," mar says to mattia taking his hand off of my thigh, "i might just have some fun myself."
he gets up and reaches his hand out for me to grab it, i do so and we go upstairs.
jayden's pov
"i definitely feel a connection. you're beautiful and girls that are beautiful and genuine are hard to find," samy says to me while looking me in the eyes.
considering we were the only two sober ones out of our friend group, that made me feel good about myself. he wasn't just saying that.
"you're so sweet," i say back to him putting my hand on his.
he looks me in the eyes and i'm so tempted so kiss him. i know about it for only a couple of seconds and i think, 'why not?' so, i lean in and he kisses me back. and i thought it'd be something quick, but he moves his hand behind my neck which lets me know this is definitely a make out session. i get on top of him, barely grinding on him. he slowly moves his hand down my back then the door is slammed open by destiny and mariano.
"shit, my bad," mar says and closes the door back.
me and samy look at each other and laugh, i get off of him.
"so, we can either keep this going or we can go down stairs and watch people chug out of a funnel," i say and he looks surprised. maybe cause i'm calling the shots.
"chug watching it is," he says. we get up and leave the room holding hands.
shylah's pov
i felt so good about what happened with mattia that i went downstairs and started dancing, which i never do. a few people start dancing with me.
after a while, i hear someone yell, "everybody gather around!" and we do so. a few people run down the stairs, destiny's brother is one of them.
the person stands up on the island, i see it's my brother, kio.
"as you know, it's my sisters birthday. and i wanna make this a birthday she'll remember. so, everyone pour up, get your shots out cause we're about to get turnt!" everybody gets super hype and kio gets down to hug me.
"happy birthday gorgeous."
"thank you, how'd you get here without mom and dad, weren't you keeping them company?"
"they said they were 'fine on their own' and i should enjoy this so, here i am."
i smiled at him and everybody gathers around the island.
"'happy birthday shylah' on 3. 1..2..3.."
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHYLAH!" everybody screams and it makes my heart melt.
everybody takes a shot and this party is much more alive. it's been great, don't get me wrong but everybody is off the walls now and i love it.
