Rules
- Follow this account and your respective judge when they are announced. If you do not complete this, your comment will be ignored/declined. So, follow this account first to be accepted and follow your judge when you find out who they are. If you do not do this, five marks will be removed from your total score.
- Add this book to your reading list and library for future updates.
- Be nice to everyone including me and your judge. Any rude comments will be deleted and you will be reported. No warnings. It's not that hard to follow this rule.
- If you do not like your review from your judge, do not lash out on anyone, just state that you did not like what they said and if what they said really is rude and indiscreet, I will handle it from there. Just don't cause a scene or pick a fight.
- Do not bribe your judge. If you do so, you will be disqualified and will not be allowed to join next year's award. You will be added to the blacklist so that I will remember who you are.
- When filling out the form, fill out everything in one comment inline next to the form and not all over the place. Also, add the word 'lowkey' at the end of your comment so that I know you read the rules. All those who don't will have their form ignored/declined until you add that word. Note: you do not have to fill out the form again with the word, just reply to your comment.
- If you do not get accepted, do not be rude about it because you are already in the wrong for not reading and following the rules. I understand we forget things sometimes but try not to forget this one word. Any rude comments made because of this will lead to your comment being deleted. I'm really serious about this. I will not tolerate any bad behaviour. If you are nice and ask me why I did not accept your form, I will tell you why in the same manner. Whatever you give, you get back.
- Give this book a shout-out on your message board so that others can join.
- Judges will be giving a detailed review on every book that they read. Note: the review must not be less than thirty words or else I will have you redo it. It is necessary to point out why you gave your total mark and what the author can improve on.
- Judges are allowed to follow participants back but it is not mandatory.
- Judges must follow the criteria given and are allowed to answer the questions if they are new to judging.
- You can enter up to three books, two in the same genre and one in a different genre. E.g. two romance novels and one poetry book.
- Your book must contain more than five chapters seeing that judges will be reading five chapters or more of your book in order to judge. Prologues are allowed, but epilogues, casts, playlists, author notes, etc, do not count.
- Short stories are required to have at least three chapters to enter and poetry books are required to have more than seven chapters.
- LGBT+, mature, polygamy, erotica, one shots and other themes similar to these are all accepted. If you aren't certain your book will be accepted due to a certain theme, comment in line and I will tell you if I accept it.
- If you sign up to be a judge, please do not back down last minute. It is very irritating and unprofessional so make sure that your schedule isn't loaded before signing up.
- You can judge and participate but you cannot judge in the same genre you sign your book into. E.g. if you entered a romance novel, you can't judge underneath romance.
- I will need at least three judges per genre to officially begin judging season. If a genre has all judges and all particpates, that genre will begin and judges will be allowed to judge.
- I am accepting 15 books per genre and each judge will receive five books to judge. You will be given two weeks to judge those five books. Failure to send in the results will result in you being removed as a judge permanently if your reason is invalid and trust me, I will tell you if your reason isn't good enough.
