you get cold

It was after one am but neither you nor Bella could sleep, so she suggested going for a short walk, hoping some fresh air would help.

She had her hand wrapped in yours. You could hear a dog barking nearby and the sound of crickets chirping every now and then, but otherwise, it was pretty quiet and peaceful.

That was until it started to get a little windy and the air became colder than it was when you left the house just a few minutes before. You shivered and let go of Bella's hand to rub your arms. "Are you cold?"

You nodded and slowed down when she stopped walking. "No, Bella, don't. You'll get cold too." You said as she took off her jacket and helped you into it. "Don't be silly. I'll be alright, I've got a long-sleeved shirt on, so I'll be okay. You need the jacket more than I do."

She kissed your cheek and instead of slipping her hand back in yours, she slung her arm around your shoulder as you continued to walk for a little while longer.

Soon you were slowing down. Your feet were getting tired and your eyes were growing heavy. "Tired?" Bella asked and as soon as you nodded your head she turned you both around to walk home instead.

It thankfully didn't take long till you arrived home. The walk back only made you sleepier so when you got home you climbed right into bed and fell right asleep as soon as your head hit the pillow.

Bella just smiled to herself and slipped under the covers with you. She kissed your cheek before laying her head on your back. "Goodnight, y/n. Sweet dreams." She said before falling asleep, both of you now warm and tired enough to get a good night's rest.
