The blood. Oh the blood. I will never forget that blood. And Tony... His face. beat up and tortured. I hate remembering him like this...

I woke up moments later. I felt perfectly fine though. Ducky and Gibbs did some stuff and reassured my stability. I immediately get back to Tony. In the middle of us talking... I say the most random thing possible.

        "Sardines..." I said.

"What?" Gibbs asks me. He actually sounded confused.

"That's what I smelled... Sardines. and there's only one place near here that smells like sardines..." Gibbs knows that I mean that loading dock we once went to that smelled like rotten sardines. we both run upstairs and grab our gear and McGee out of habit grabs his too. We all go to the loading dock.

We take our positions by the door and I kick in. I see two men beating Tony with an average, every day baseball bat. He is covered in head to toe in blood and I look at them and then Tony. "Freeze."

They hit Tony right in his ribs, breaking a few. Gibbs cuts in."Put the bat down and put your hands on your-" I don't wait and shoot one of them because I can see their lack of cooperation. Then I point the gun at the one holding the bat. "He said 'Drop it!'" You can see his rebellion and he gives Tony three more whacks in the chest with the baseball bat with Tony grunting in pain with each one.

I drop my gun and run towards him and he grabs a knife and stabs Tony in his shoulder. (The one that's shot) The man throws a knife at me and I scream a blood curtling scream as I fall to the ground. "TONY!" Gibbs shoots the man in the head as he runs towards me with another knife. I scramble to my feet and run to Tony. I gently pull the knife out.

He is covered with blood and is struggling for air. Soon, he is untied and an ambulance takes him to the hospital.

Later at the hospital. Tony wakes up. Ziva is right there next to him. The doctor said Tony will be perfectly fine but she s still worried.

Tony smiles and says in a crackly voice, "Ziva... You're alive."

I smile and touch my hand on his arm. "Of course I am alive. But I wouldn't be if it weren't for you." I gently kiss his lips. He looks at me and I look at him. We were so made for each other.

                                                                                          The End!!!

Author's note:

There will be a sequel where it will be a mix of Tony and Ziva's POV. They will learn the trouble of raising two litle girls of their very own. :D
