[ pov: minho ]

my finger pressed the door bell.
loud, muffled music was blasting through the apartment complex i was standing in front of, colorful lights flashing through the window, making the room resemble a chameleon that didn't know which color to switch to.

there was a soft buzz signalizing that i could  go inside now. i pushed the door open, heading upstairs, following the loud bass which appeared clearer and clearer with every stair i went up.

"minhoooo, you came!", jeongin cheered as he saw me arriving at his apartment.
"hi, jeonginnie. happy birthday.", i smiled as i pulled the younger into a loose hug.

he grabbed my wrist, pulling me into a bubble of loud music, laughter and the smell of sweat and weed.
"where is hyunjin by the way?", jeongin yelled over the music. simply the thought of my boyfriend caused my heart to flutter again.
"he's still at work but his shift will end soon!", i answered loudly into his ear, making sure he could hear me.

jeongin nodded, smiling at me as he signalized he had to go somewhere. trying to find a way through all the people i saw him talking to a pink-haired girl which left the apartment immediately after their conversation.

but i didn't put much thought into it.
i danced lazily between all the others, grabbing a beer and just appreciating the moment.
i used to go party way more often than now but i still enjoyed it from time to time when i didn't have to work the next day.

after a few drinks jeongin found me again and gestured me to follow him. to be honest, i was quite under the influence already so it was hard to walk straight.
not partying that regularly anymore had caused my body to stop being used to so much alcohol, making me feel tipsy after a few drinks already.

"hahaha, what's that?", i said after jeongin had shut the door behind us and it had gotten a little more quiet.
"what do you mean?", he smiled, walking up to me.

i pointed at a white line on the desk, seeming like it was flour. i wasn't dumb tho. of course, this wasn't just flour.
next to it was a small glass pipe and some things that resembled litte white rocks.

" 'that cocaine or sum?", i said, already feeling dizzy imagining taking this in.
"crack cocaine.", jeongin continued to smile, leaning his head against my shoulder a bit. "my friend helped me try it out and it's so good, minho, you gotta try it!"

i tilted my head, staring at the unfamiliar powder. "nah, i don't know. why would i snort or smoke crack or whatever? that's like... dangerous."

"no, actually it's not! you know how the media overanalyzes things! they think weed is super damaging but it's not! it can't get you addicted physically and the same goes for crack. trust me, i know my stuff."

i looked at him, concerned and a little confused. i didn't think one could compare crack to weed on such a level. while what jeongin said about weed was something i'd agree to, i wasn't so sure about the crack thing.

"come onnn. if we smoke this you'll feel super duper euphoric within just a few seconds!! way better than snorting regular cocaine, come on now!"
jeongin was already grabbing a lighter and heating up the pipe with some of the small rocks inside.

i giggled at the cracking sounds it made which showed me why this drug was called crack.
also.. if jeongin had already prepared it, might as well smoke it, huh? i was getting this stuff for free and he seemed to know what he's doing.

"you first.", he grinned broadly, handing me the pipe. shrugging, i took a puff, closing my eyes and coughing at this new feeling.
it smelled horribly.

i handed the pipe to jeongin, seeing him take the pipe between his lips before i closed my eyes again, feeling the effect kick in already. just like jeongin had said: within just a few seconds.

[a/n: Hi! this was kinda weird idk but i hope u liked it. also: i did some research about crack for this lmao but idk if i described it correctly. but: crack is not harmless as jeongin describes it so pls don't smoke that, kids.
yeah, that's everything i wanted to say lmao.]
