MishBir: The Fight Ends

The Payal

Mishti, Kuhu and the ladies of the house proceed with the Puja. During the Puja, Abir makes various attempts with the payal, but the minute he gets close to Mishti she moves away.. After the Puja they go out to the aangan to make a circle of water with the the lota.
Badi Maa- Chalo ladkiyo tayar ho jaao. Lota haat mai lo aur ek hi jagah pe gol ghumo. Ghera pura gol banna chahiye. Agar beech mai ruke toh paani bhi ruk jaayega aur pura gol nahi banega. Jitna bada ghera banaoge, utna bada tumhare pati ka pyaar, aur jo ghera bina tute banega utna mazboot tumhara rishta. Toh ab shuru ho jaao.
Mishti- Tab toh rehne dijiye Badi Maa, mai ek chota sa hi ghera bana deti hoon. Kya hai na, aaj kal Abir bate ton bahaut banata hai, but jab kuch kaam ki baari aati hai toh bahane leke baith jaata hai.
Abir looks at her shocked.
Abir- Arrey Badi Maa, ye toh cheating ho gaya. Ab saara power Mishti ke haat mai hai. Voh mujhe jaan bujh ke fail kar sakti hai na.
Badi Maa- Mishti aisa kuch nahi karegi. Haina Mishti?
Mishti- Theek hai, Badi Maa!
Mishti makes a perfect round circle and everyone else continues with the rasam.
Abir comes and stands next to Mishti..
Abir- Dekha, tumhara circle sabse bada hai, iska matlab hai ki mai best husband hoon, wifey!
Mishti- Ji nahi, mera circle best hai kyunki mujhe nahi Varsha Auntie ki tarah chakkar aate hai, na mai Kuhu ki tarah apne dress ke baare mai concerned thi.
Abir- accha? Toh mai best husband nahi hoon?
Mishti- Payal pehnao toh maan jaaungi..
Mishti laughs and goes back inside..
Abir runs in after her and makes her sit on the sofa..he sits on the ground and takes out the payal when he hears Bade Papa and all the family members. He quickly pockets the payal and stands up.
Mishti laughs- Bade aaye, 'Mai sabke saamne tumhe payal pehnauga'. Bade Papa ke saamne tumhari hawa tight ho jaati hai.
Abir- Actually voh kya hai na Mishti, jab humara break up hua tha, toh uss waqt mai literally Bade Papa se darne lag gaya tha. Ab kuch bhi karun thoda bahaut darr abhi bhi mann mai hai.
Mishti giggles and walks away.
Abir thinks, "Ye challenge itni aasani se pura nahi hoga, lagta hai kuch plan karna padega"
Abir calls Kunal and whispers something to him after which Kunal starts making some calls.
Meanwhile they start the ritual of applying mehndi to the 'Bahus' and 'Betis' of the house.
Abir- Badi Maa, aapne toh subah hi sabke haato mai mehndi ka tika laga diya tha, toh phir ab ye kyun?
Badi Maa- Voh sirf Shagun ki mehndi thi, ab mehndi pure jashn ke saath lagegi.
The mehendi is accompanied with dancing and songs. While singing and dancing, Abir gets close to where Mishti is sitting and getting mehendi applied. He sits on the ground beside her and manages to almost wrap the payal around her ankle as Mishti can't move (with mehndi being applied) when Badi Maa comes and asks Abir why he is sitting on the ground. Abir hides the payal under the carpet and says- "Badi Maa, mai toh bass ye make sure kar raha hoon ki Mishti apne mehendi mai mera hi naam likhwaye.. kisi aur ka naam na likhwale.
Badi Maa- Pagal, kuch bhi bolta rehta hai..   Mishti laughs as Abir yet again fails in his attempts with the payal.
Mishti is done with her Mehendi.
After a while Kunal leaves the house to take a call and arrives with a big thali full of fruits and dry fruits.
Badi Maa- Kunal, ye sab kya hai?
Kunal- Actually, Voh.. voh.. voh Bhai batayenge na..
Abir, softly to Kunal- Ek kaam bhi pura nahi kar sakta na tu
Abir- Voh Badi Maa, ye.. ye, ye voh Shagun hai. Actually, voh shaadi ke baad Mishti ka pehla Gangaur hai, ye baat maine bataya Nanu ko, toh.. Nanu ne kahan ki voh vrat rakh rahi hai, toh uske liye kuch fruits vagar toh uske sasural se jaane chahiye na.. toh bas vahi hai.
Kunal- haan haan.. exactly..
Kuhu- Ye mera bhi #firstgangaur hai. Mera Shagun kahan hai?
Badi Maa- Shagun toh theek hai, but itna saara?
Kunal- haan toh, ye sirf Mishti ka thodi na hai, Mishti aur Kuhu dono ke liye hai.
Kuhu- Really? toh mai lelu?
Kunal and Abir both say- Nahi.....
Kuhu- Kyun?
Kunal- Kyunki.. kyunki.. kyunki bhai batayenge.
Abir looks at Kunal like he is going to kill him.
Abir- Kyunki, Shagun toh badi bahu ke haato bhagwanji ko chadega na
Kunal- haan haan
Badi Maa- Aisi koi baat nahi hai Abir, Kunal. Agar Kuhu ko chadhana hai, toh usse hi de do.
Abir and Kunal- Nahii...
Kuhu- #letitbe ab mujhe nahi chahiye. I am #goingtomyroom
Kunal- Mish.. Bhab... Mish.. agar tum ye Shagun le logi toh mai jaake Kuhu ko manata hoon.
Mishti takes the Shagun.
Mishti- Kunal ye toh bahaut bhari hai..
Kunal- I know, maine hi bola ki sabse bhari wala dene.
Mishti- Kya? Kyun?
Kunal- Nahi matlab, mujhe laga sabse zyada wala means sabse zyada pyaar. Anyway, ab isko seedha puja mai hi rakhna, kahin aur mat rakhna, Shagun hai na. Mai jaa raha hoon Kuhu se baat karne.
Mishti takes the Shagun and starts to walk towards the Puja.
Abir- Ruko Mishti..
Everyone turns and stares
Abir pulls the payal out from under the carpet with his legs and then bends down and picks up the payal from the floor.
Abir- Lagta hai tumhari payal khul gayi.
Mishti- Haan mai baad mai pehen lungi
Abir- Arrey, par tum puja mai jaa rahi ho, accha thodi na lagta hai ek payal se saath.. ruko ek min.
Mishti- Par mai...
Badi maa- haan, theek hi toh keh raha hai Abir. Puja mai achhe se tyar hoke baithe hai.. payal nikal gayi hai toh pehen le na..
Mishti stares at the heavy 'shagun' ki thali and understands that all of this was a ploy by Abir.
Abir quickly bends down and wraps the payal around her ankle. He gives her a naughty half smile as he gets up.
Mishti takes the Shagun ki thali and goes to the Puja.
Mishti come back and stands near Abir.
Mishti- Mujhe pata hai ye sab tumne hi kiya hai
Abir (looking innocent)- maine? Maine kya kiya? Kuch hua kya? Mai toh bas tumhari help karr raha tha. Tumhari payal gir gayi thi, toh maine help kar di.
Mishti nods her head in disapproval.
Abir- Voh bhi sabke saamne. Bina kisi se chupaye. Tumhare tarah nahi, jo 'I love you' bhi dahi handi phodte waqt, jab koi sunn na sake, tab bola, aur ussi mauke ka faida utha ke competition bhi jeet liya. Cheater kahin ki.
Mishti- Mai koi cheater nahi hoon.
Abir- Accha.. voh toh pata chal hi jaayega
Mishti- Matlab?
Abir- Ab baari tumhari hai Angry Chorni. Tayar rehna, iss baar ka challenge tumhe bhari parne wala hai.
