Happy endings are not real

Abir wakes up to see his wife walking about, doing something.
Abir- Mishti, kya karr rahi ho subah subah? Aur itni jaldi jaldi Matt chalo, pair pe jyaada pressure padege.
Mishti doesn't reply but continues to go through her stuff as if looking for something.
Abir goes up to her and holds both her hands in his.
Abir- Kya dhund rahi ho?
Mishti- Voh.. voh mai.. meri ring?
Abir is confused.. he hadn't noticed her ring was missing.
Abir- Ho sakta hai uss kidnapper ne ring chura li ho, bechne ke liye..
Mishti- Oh..
Mishti looks upset.
Abir- Tum kyun chinta karr rahi ho. Mai tumhare liye nayi ring le aaunga na..
Mishti goes and stands near the window looking out.. Abir follows her and hugs her from behind.
Abir- Kya hua? Ek ring hi toh hai.. mai hoon na tumhare saath toh ring ki kya zaroorat hai tumhe?
Mishti smiles at this.. she turns to face Abir.. Abir pulls her closer and slowly walks back..
Mishti- Abir...
Abir- Mishti, mai soch raha tha, ki hum dono hi jaldi uth gaye hai.. aur breakfast mai bhi abhi time hai.. toh.... You know..
Abir looks at her with a naughty smile and a twinkle in his eyes..
Mishti, pretending to not understand- Toh? Haan accha, sabke liye breakfast bana dete hai.. haina?
Abir pulls her and they both fall on the bed...
Abir- Tumhe mujhe satane mai maza aata hai?
Mishti- mmm... Bahaut!
Abir- Accha.. ruko.. ab mai tumhe batata hoon ki satana kya hota..
Abir tickles Mishti and she struggles to get away from him. Mishti laughs uncontrollably..
Mishti- Abirrr.. chodo.. Abirr.. okay okay.. I give up.. you win.. just stop tickling me..
Abir let's go of Mishti momentarily before drawing her close.. they stare into each other's eyes as Abir's hands rest on her waist and Mishti's hands wrap around Abir's head...
Abir leans in to kiss Mishti, but she suddenly moves away and stands up..
Mishti- Itni bhi kya jaldi hai Ajeeb Rajvansh
Abir- Tum aaj mujhe kuch jyaada hi tease nahi karr rahi ho?
Mishti- Haan toh?
Abir- Toh agar mai tumhare peeche nahi aaya toh?
Mishti- Aaogo
Abir- Nahi aaya toh?
Abir stubbornly sits at the corner of the bed refusing to chase Mishti..
Mishti approaches Abir and leans close to him. Abir smiles at this.. As she keeps leaning close, Abir thinks she is going to kiss him, but instead she just whispers in his ear- Aaoge
Mishti laughs and moves away from Abir.. Abir tried to catch her hand but she escapes.. Abir chases and corners her against a wall..
Abir- Lo aagaya..
Mishti smiles at this and their morning kicks off with some hot yoga.

The days at Maheshwari house pass peaceful. Mishti is not fully recovered. And now the topic everyone has been trying to avoid comes close..
Abir decides that he should have a conversation with Mishti about their potential options.. while they could continue to live here, he is wants to explore all their options. Abir leaves to organise a date for Mishti, and calles her to him there..

Meanwhile, Nanu comes to Maheshwari house with Parul and Kaushal.
Nanu requests Vishambar to tell both the sons to return to their home.
Vishambar- Bauji, mai aapki bahaut izzat karta hoon. Aapki koi baat katna nahi chahta.. lekin, Abir aur Kunal, iss ghar ke jamai nahi balki bete hai.. iss ghar pe unka utna hi haq hai jitna Shaura ka. Hum apne bachho ho apna ghar chodne ke liye majboor nahi karengi. Lekin agar voh khud vapas jaana chahe toh hum unhe rokenge bhi nahi..

Nanu is hurt by this.. he sees Mishti and requests her to come back home... He promises her that Meenu will not interfere in their lives anymore.. he informs her that Meenu has barely been eating and does not talk to anyone in the house anymore. He thinks that she knows that she is in the wrong...
Unable to see Dadu cry, Mishti promises that she will talk to Abir about moving back..
Nanu thanks her and Mishti goes into her room...

After waiting for 2 hours and of being unable to reach Mishti, Abir calls Badi Maa who informs him that just when Mishti was about to leave when Dadu arrived. She tells him everything that happened..
Abir cancels the date he had planned and returns home..
Upon his return he finds that Dadu is still trying to convince Vishambar that he can keep Meenakshi in check..
Nanu- Mujhe sach mai lagta hai ki Meenakshi ko apne kiye pe pachtawa hai.. Usne ek hi pal mai apne dono beto ko kho diya.. Kunal toh office jaana bhi bandh karr chuka hai.. Abir aur Kunal se baat kiye usko ab mahina ho gaya hai. Voh din bhar mayus rehti hai..
Abir- Aisa toh aapko pechli baar bhi laga tha na Nanu.. Last time bhi toh aapne kaha tha, ki Maa sudharne ki koshish karr rahi hai.. ki unhone Mishti ko apna liya hai..
Nanu doesn't have any response.
Abir- Nanu, mai samajh sakta hoon ki aapke liye unki galtiya dekhna mushkil hai, lekin iss baar unhone galti nahi ki, balki gunah kiya hai.. I'm sorry Nanu, lekin mai uss ghar mai nahi rahunga jahan Mrs. Meenakshi Rajvansh rehti hai.. Pehle mai unse naraz hota hai lekin unko apna maanta tha.. par ab mujhe absos hai ki voh meri maa. Dono kisi bhi hadd taq jaa sakte hai.. aur mai un dono ko apna maa-baap maane se inkar karta hoon..
Nanu- Tere inkar karne se ye sachai toh nahi badal jaayegi ki Meenu teri maa hai. Usne tujhe Janam Diya hai..
Abir- Toh kya karz ada karne ko keh rahe hai aap?
Nanu- Abir mai tujhe samjha raha hoon, ki voh teri maa hai, aur tujhe ye bhulna nahi chahiye.
Abir- Kash bhul paata... Lekin you are right Nanu, bhulna nahi chahiye.

Abir storms out of the house and drives to Rajvansh house. Badi Maa calls Mishti from her room and tells her that Abir has left in anger probably to talk to Meenakshi.
Everyone follows Abir in seperate car.

Abir calls out to Meenakshi.. and she comes running..
Meenakshi- Abir, beta tu aa gaya, mai...
Abir- Bass.. Please bandh kariye apna natak. Bandh kariye ye jhota dikhawe wala pyaar. Aapko toh pyaar ka matlab bhi nahi pata hai, isiliye toh ye dhong karti rehti hai.. pata hai mujhe lagata tha ki aap jo karti hai apni family ke liye karti hai.. chahe aapka tarika galat ho, aap apne family se bahaut pyaar karti hai.. obviously, mai galat tha.. aapka pyaar bhi ek aur manipulation tha, aur kuch bhi nahi..

Mishti, Nanu and everyone arrives..

Abir continues- Aapke liye pyaar matlab control. Mai aapke iss pyaar ka koi hissa nahi chahta hoon. Aur rehi baat ehsaan ki, toh mujhe lagta hai, pichle kuch saalo mai, aapke saari harkato ke baad bhi mai yehi raha, aapko maa bulaya aur aapki saari manipulation ko tolerate kiya, aapne pure ghar ko apne jhute natako mai fasaya aur maine uss baat ko jaane diya... Mere hisab se we are even. Aapka merepe koi ehsaan nahi hai. Aapne mujhe mere bachpan mai sahara diya, aur mai aaj aapko maafi de raha hoon. Even while Abir speaks these words, he knows in his heart, that he will never be able to let go of his mother. Because she might be heartless and cruel and selfish, but she was his mother. She was the person who raised him... But he also knew he needed to break free of her otherwise she would continue being who she is and the next life she destroyed could be of someone he loves.

Meenakshi is shocked hearing such words from Abir. She approachs Mishti and blames her for everything.
Meenu- Ye sab tumne hi sikhaya hai mere Abir ko! Mera Abir, chahe mujhse naraz ho, mujhse jhagda kare lekin aisa kuch kabhi nahi keh sakta.
Mishti- Maa, mai sach keh rahi hoon maine aisa kuch nahi kiya.. sach mai Maa..
Meenakshi is furious. On one hand Abir refuses to call her his mother and this girl who is nothing to her insists on calling her maa over and over.

Meenu- Bass! Mai tumhari Maa nahi hoon. Tumne suna nahi.. Abir mujhe apni maa nahi maanta toh mai tumhari kuch kaise lag sakti hoon..

Mishti- Nahi Maa. Mai....

Meenakshi raises her hand in anger, ready to slap Mishti. How dare she taunt her by calling her maa over and over...

As she is about to slap Mishti, Kunal stops her hand.

Meenakshi accuses Mishti of distancing her from both her sons and promises that she will not let Mishti live in peace ever. Kunal tries to calm her down but Meenakshi accuses Kunal of being thoughtless and selfish. She states that Kunal choose Parul over her and had no regard for all she had done for so many years, even going to the extent of calling her Mrs. Rajvansh instead of Maa. Meenakshi starts to cry, knowing that Kunal will not be able to resist her request in this state.

Abir understands that her tears are a part of her manipulation but is unable to stop Kunal from falling into Meenakshi's trap.

Kunal requests Meenakshi to stop crying and promises her he will do as she says.
Meenakshi demands that Kunal should stay by her side as she will not survive losing both her sons. She says that if necessary he should not hesitate to cut his relations with his brother if Abir insists on leaving her.

Everyone is shocked that Meenakshi demands such a thing of Kunal. Meanwhile, Meenakshi is sure that Abir will come to his brother's rescue and agree to stay in the house so that his brother doesn't have to make such a choice. She has set up the perfect situation again. Using Kunal to keep Abir in control once more.
