The coast of Iran. 1400 hours. May 23rd, 2024
The strike package reach the coast of Iran and splits into there rolls.
"I want my flight to climb to 15,000 ft to provide Fighter cover." said Foxtrot.
"Roger climbing to 15,000 ft." said Avalanche.
"Roger." said Phoenix.
"Roger Climbing." said Turner.
The sand of the desert below displays a easy fight but that is not what is up ahead.
Latitude 35.686400, Longitude 51.432860.
AKA: The Fortress of Oblivion.
The pilots arrive in station just as the strike package begins the bombing run.
"Ok keep you feet on the rudders and hands on the stick." said Foxtrot. "Keep your eyes outside the cockpit."
"This is Lieutenant Brooks, we are making our bombing run." radioed Brooks
"Roger Brooks." said Foxtrot. "Continue with the attack."
Brooks flight climbs back up to Foxtrot flight after their bombing run.
"Skies are clear, We will make 1 more run." said Brooks.
"Roger." said Foxtrot.
Brooks leads his planes in for one more attack run.
About 2 minutes pass by before Brooks brakes in over the radio.
"Oh shit!" yelled Brooks.
"What is it Brooks?" asked Foxtrot.
There's no response.
"Talk to me Brooks." said Foxtrot concerned.
"Bandits," said Brooks "I got bandits on my six....." Brooks radio is quiet but the sound of Glass braking metal screeching
Foxtrot looks down and sees a yellow flash just below the clouds. Followed by a muffed boom.
"Brooks!" yelled Foxtrot.
He checks in with the other pilots on the radio. There is just panic and static from the other pilots.
"Brooks flight whats your status?" asked Foxtrot. "What is going on?"
"Uh let's not worry about that right now." said Phoenix.
"BANDITS INCOMING! ALL PLANES BRAKE!" yelled Avalanche.
The pilots preform a negative pushover. A Brutal defensive maneuver where the pilots either pull positive and/or negative G's.
Foxtrot brakes with Phoenix and they dive for the clouds to get below them, and get away from the enemy fighters. Once below the clouds Foxtrot takes stock of the situation.
He looks around and see flaming wreckage of planes scattered around on the desert floor.
After seeing the carnage him and Phoenix climb back into the fight.
The altimeter spins as the 2 pilots preform a climbing right hand, high G turn, to get back above the clouds.
As Phoenix and Foxtrot climb back into the fight, Turner and Avalanche are in a turning fight with 3 enemy fighters.
Avalanche looks back to see 2 SU-35's and 1 Mig-35.
After investigations done by the CIA in 2021, surveillance showed that an Underground North Korean organization called City-40 was able to get Russian aircraft like the SU-30's, Mig-35's, SU-34's and SU-35's Fighter and Attack Jets, but also Chinese Aircraft such as the J-10's, J-11's, JF-17 Thunders, and J-31's and sold them off to Iran for a huge profit and to advance the former DPRK economy.
Now those same aircraft are now facing our pilots.
"Foxtrot we got 3 yellow nosed bandits on our
6!" yelled Avalanche.
Turner and Avalanche snap hard to the right trying to make the migs to overshoot.
But the migs aren't shaken.
"Foxtrot we don't have much time!" said Turner.
"Where on our way!" Yelled Foxtrot rushing to help his fellow pilots.
Avalanche looks back and sees the belly of the Migs. He knows he has to act now and that only one is going to come away alive.
"Turner on my mark brake hard left." said Avalanche.
Avalanche watches the enemy migs as he counts down. "3, 2, 1, BRAKE LEFT TURNER!" ordered Avalanche.
Turner brakes hard to the left pulling away from the migs. As she pulls away, she looks back expecting to see Avalanche on her wing.
But Avalanche isn't there he is still being chased by the enemy fighters.
"AVALANCHE!" yelled Turner worried for her husband.
"Forget me, just get out of here." ordered Avalanche.
The Mig-35 get a lock on Avalanche.
"No Avalanche!" said Turner. "Please pull away Avalanche!" said Turner on the verge of tears. "I'm not going to leave you behind."
"I'll miss you Turner." said Avalanche.
"No Avalanche, Please pull away." begged Turner.
Just when Turner is about to give up, out of nowhere Foxtrot flies right pass the mig-35. Disturbing the Mig's missile lock.
"Avalanche I'm not losing you!" yelled Foxtrot.
Foxtrot swings back on the SU's and Mig's six o'clock.
He fires a sidewinder. The trailing SU-30 is blown clear out of the sky.
With the one of the SU-30's gone, the other planes brake off from Avalanche.
"Turner, you escort Avalanche and the other remaining pilots back to the carrier!" said Foxtrot. "Phoenix and I will take up the rear guard."
"Roger." replied Turner. "Stay alive."
"Ok Phoenix let's turn and burn." said Foxtrot. Heading back into the fight.
Phoenix and Foxtrot duel with the The Mig-35 and SU-30.
They speed towards the merge passing each other.
Snapping the stick to the left and pull hard back Foxtrot and Phoenix start the turn. The Mig and SU do the same.
The pull of G's slam the pilots back into there seats.
Carefully working the throttle and flaps Foxtrot and Phoenix are slowing turning inside the turn and gaining ground.
As they duel with the Iranian pilots, they try to get a missile lock.
"Foxtrot I got a missile lock on the SU-30." said Phoenix.
"Roger you take the lead." replied Foxtrot.
Foxtrot slides below Phoenix to give her room to take the missile shot.
Phoenix lines up for the shot, She pulls the trigger.
The missile is uncaged and rockets towards the SU-30.
The missile tracks smoothly to the target and then shreds off the right wing of the enemy fighter.
It spirals down towards the desert floor. Now the Mig-35 is left.
"Foxtrot do you have a shot?" asked Phoenix.
"No he's turning to tight." replied Foxtrot. "I got a the lock but the missile won't be able to track."
"Foxtrot this is AWACS. We got 5 bandits. Heading 090 from bullseye."
"Phoenix, let's get out off here!" said Foxtrot.
They bug out of the combat zone. Lighting the afterburners and fleeing the area.
As for the allied ground forces, they were obliterated and over 50 allied soldiers where captured.
The mission had failed.
