"This is Valkyrie taking off with Warrior on catapult 1 and 2,"
"Roger Valkyrie, you and Warrior are clear for takeoff on cat 1 and 2." said ATC.
The two pilots take off and head to there holding pattern's about 100 miles away from the carrier.
"So Warrior, hows life aboard the Ford?" asked Valkyrie.
"Its kinda hard with the ship being so big." responded Warrior.
"You will get used to it." said Valkyrie.
"So, where are you from?" asked Warrior.
"Des Moines Iowa." said Valkyrie.
"So why did you join?" asked Warrior.
"I joined because my boyfriend dumped me and I wanted to get my mind off him." (Yes sometimes people join be of someone dumping them.)
"Hay Lancaster what about you?" asked Valkyrie to her wso or Weapons System Officer.
"Val you already know where I am from." responded Lancaster.
"I know but tell Warrior." Joked Valkyrie.
"I'm form Long Island NY." said Lancaster. "When I was little I saw Grumman headquarters there and their F-14 Tomcat."
The pilots and wso joke around but without there knowledge a small flight of Iranian F-14 Tomcats equipped with Akhger guided air to ground missiles are heading towards Task Force 79.
"Uh guys I got something?" said Lancaster.
"What is it?" asked Warrior.
"I don't know. Be let's check out." said Valkyrie.
"Mustang are you there?" asked Valkyrie.
"Yes Valkyrie." said Mustang.
"We got Boygies heading in your direction scramble fighters now."
"That's a negative Valkyrie there is no threat." said Mustang.
"Shit." said Valkyrie cutting her mic with Task Force 79.
"Do we have any missiles?" asked Lancaster worried that they might be defenseless.
"We only have 2 missiles each." said Warrior.
"How far away and how many are there?" asked Valkyrie.
"20 miles and 5." said Lancaster.
Valkyrie thinks for what have seen like forever she makes her decision.
"Engage!" ordered Valkyrie.
The two planes follow the 5 unknown fighters.
They catch up to the unknown fighters and identify them.
"TOMCATS!" yelled Warrior.
They quickly lock on the Tomcats and Fire there only missiles.
All four missiles hit their marks but there is 1 Tomcat remaining and the Akhger missile has a range of 19 miles and they are only 40 miles away.
If the Tomcat lights it, he could out accelerate the Super Hornet. But he decides to enter a turning fight with is much more agile opponent.
The Tomcat brakes right, the hornets give chase. Valkyrie pulls the stick hard trying to pull lead to get the guns kill. The HMD shows that the hornet's gun is in position.
She pulls the trigger. But there's a problem the gun is silent.
"Warrior my gun is jammed. You take the lead." said Valkyrie.
"Roger." said Warrior she takes lead. She pulls on the stick and pulls the trigger 20mm rounds slam into the Tomcat snapping the right wing off. The Tomcat spirals out of control to the ocean below.
After this victory the pilots head back to the carrier.
When they land Valkyrie heads below to tell Foxtrot about what happened.
On they way she runs into Avalanche.
"Oh Avalanche where is Foxtrot?" asked Valkyrie.
"We have an emergency briefing." said Avalanche.
"About wait?" asked Valkyrie.
"I don't know." replied Avalanche.
They head to the briefing room for the mission.
"Alright everyone is here." said Foxtrot.
"This mission is classified. We have a 12 hour mission tomorrow." said Foxtrot pulling up the holographic map. "It will be a Country wide mission."
"We will launch at 0500 hours, and strike army, air and naval bases all around Iran." said Foxtrot. "Here are the locations of the base."
He marks over 700 military installations across the country. Each one with hundreds of IADS or Intergraded air defense systems.
"We will have all aircraft available be used during this mission."
"We will brake off into groups of 6 fighters, 10 strikers, 3 jammers, 2 tankers, and 1 awacs." said Foxtrot.
"Each plane will take off and land at least 3 times." said Foxtrot. "This thing is heavily classified and the Joint chiefs hate this but it has to be done because of the large amount of kill chains."
Foxtrot assigns his squadron to to work with VFA-34 Blue Blasters, VAQ-131 Lancers, VAW-124 Bear Aces, and VAK-113 Riders.
"Each group will strike 5 installations." said Foxtrot. "After striking one installation your group will land back at the carrier, rearm, refuel, and get back into the air."
He assigns each group to there five installations. Foxtrot's group will hit targets in Bushehr, Bandar, Shiraz, Tehran, and finally Mashhad . As these targets are much harder to strike and Foxtrot's group has the most experience.
He assigns each group there launch time, his being the first.
"This strike will divide their Air Force allowing us to hit our targets." said Foxtrot.
"When dose the operation take place?" asked Valkyrie.
"July, 16." replied Foxtrot.
"The Air Force is conducting strikes for the next 2 weeks and they don't want other strike groups flying into a place they shouldn't be." said Foxtrot turning off the holographic projector.
"DISMISSED!" ordered Foxtrot.
